Stats Not Updating

I seem to have an issue with status not updating properly.

In the Info Center I have the latest post listed as: Latest Post: "Re: Lady Kyri" ( May 07, 2020, 08:41:18 PM )
I am running Simple Portal, there is a side bar on the website that has the 15 latest posts listed. The post the Forum is saying is the latest isnt. There have been 10 posts since this post.

If one clicks on the View the most recent posts link in the Info Center, it shows all the posts.

I have ran the Maintenance option of Recount all forum totals and statistics. And it still doesn't update.

Any ideas that I can use to get this to update again?

Well that is odd. I've cleared my cache. When I'm not logged in I see the updated post. When I log in, it shows the delayed information.

Can you provide a test account for your forum?

bynw

I also have a non admin account as well that I use to test things from time to time. Logging in under it the lastest post shows in the info center. So it might be my user.

Even using a different browser I get the same thing. Is something in my profile messed somehow?

bynw

And I just attempted this on my phone. Does the same thing there. It has to be caused by my profile somehow. But no clue as to how or why.

Arantor

Sounds like your profile doesn't have access to some boards.

I am an Admin on the board. So that doesn't seem likely.

Are you getting this with the admin account as well. or is it with the non admin account that you mentioned above?

The admin account does't update in the Info Center. The regular user account does. No other user on the forum has brought the issue to my attention. I created an other admin account and it works for that one.

Are you using a non-default theme that was created for (or cloned from another theme of) a previous SMF version?

Es gibt hier im Forum ein deutsches Support-Board!

"It doesn't seem likely" except for the fact that it would go a long way to explaining what's up with your account, especially if it's not a proper group 1 admin account but an account just given a group with all the permissions which could easily exclude some boards.

Or your account is set to exclude boards, that might make a difference too.

Default theme, no changes made to it other than a few mods that have been installed.
The account is the original admin account. Member ID 1

Arantor

That wasn't what I asked, though. Account 1 doesn't have to be an admin (it isn't on this forum for example), but it depends what groups that account has.

And what mods you have. And whether you have ignored any boards.

primary member group is administrator, no additional membergroups.
i'm not ignoring any boards
mods installed are: Drafts, Discord Webhooks, SMF Gallery Lite, and Simple Portal

Arantor

Hrm, that's decidedly unexpected - I'd fully been expecting this to be the root cause of your problem but with the described mods, it can't be.

OK, next question, for the board in question in the database, what are the defined membergroups allowed to view it? (I don't mean what the UI says, I mean what the database says. I'm a bit concerned that your admin account doesn't appear to have full admin powers.)

There are at least 2 boards impacted by this now. The first board that I noticed it on was board #124 by its numerical value. Per the DB smf_boards these groups have permissions:  -1,0,16,4,19,20,21,22,23,24,25,29,28,27,26,35,34,33,32,31,30,36,37,38,39

On the forum are the 2 default membergroups of Administrator and Moderator. I have added 7 additional membergroups for our members and there are 18 groups that are by post count

The 2nd board that isn't showing up now is board #63. It has the following membergroups: -1,0,4,19,20,21,22,23,24,25,29,28,27,26,35,34,33,32,31,30,36,37,38,39

Just an FYI. This is still happening and it seems to be just my username is impacted. No one else has reported this to my forum staff.
