I have so many errors I would like clarification on.

FORUMS: http://www.nb-forum.comoj.com/ [nofollow]

First of all, I have successfully installed SMF 2.0 RC3 with File Zilla on 000webhost. I have my forums up and running almost exactly the way I want it. I have a friend who usually helps me with this, but he is nowhere to be found :\

Here is a list of Mods I have downloaded

MOD NAME:                                                       VERSION:                                                                   STATUS:
Favicon                                                                 1.3                                                                      Not Installed
SimplePortal                                                         2.3.2                                                                      Installed
Global Headers and Footers                                 2.0                                                                      Not Installed
SMF Arcade                                                         2.5 RC1                                                                    Installed
nneonneo's AJAX ShoutBox                                1.22SM                                                                  Not Installed

Everytime I try to install, or uninstall ANY mod, I get this error:

This webpage is not available.

The webpage at http://nb-forum.comoj.com/index.php?action=admin;area=packages;sa=uninstall2;package=SMF_Arcade_2.5_RC1_Public2.zip;pid=5 might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.

I am not good with FTP so giving me guides on how to use FTP will only waste your time.

I HAVE Teamviewer, so if you can help me, and find it easier to use teamviewer then I will be more than happy to use it.

Not sure about part one but part two may be because you are hosted a 000webhost. Often free hosting providers will not allow members to alter file permissions.  ;)

The strange thing is though that he "has managed" to install two mods! One being Simple Portal which does require changes to the file system. I think it's better to ask for support with the respective mods that won't install, as I doubt this is a problem with smf.

I didn't install those 2 mods, my helper did.

And i don't know HOW he did it.

Simple Portal rarely installs with issues. I have installed Simple Portal on over 80 websites and have never had an issue with installation or conflicts with other mods. I think these problems may be a file permissions issue. Some files need to be altered when mods are installed but the current file permissions are not allowing certain file changes. This is of course just an opinion and not necessarily the issue but, it may be worth looking into with your web host.

Shot in the dark here, have you tried setting the permissions to 755, some hosts do not allow 777 settings.

That, or wrong file ownership could explain that actually...
