You will need to put a </div> after it too, hence the 'etc.' part ;)

So <div id="xxxxxxx" style="text-align:center;"> </div>?

Arantor

With the ad in the middle of that, yes.

Well, it's displaying correctly on Chrome, FF, and IE10. Gonna have to wait until the member that was having issues responds before I know if it took care of the IE8 problems.

Thank you all very much!

Kindred

tell them to get rid of IE8 and use a browser that actually works.

The current generation should be using IE10, FF, Safari or Chrome
Some might still be on IE9... but if anyone is still on IE8, they should be looking at upgrading ASAP.

QuoteAfter your ad code has been placed you come to a box that says "Which boards should this ad display in ". In this box you insert the number of the board you would like the ads to be displayed in. For example, if you have a board on your forum named "Rules" and it happens to be the first board on your forum, then clicking on it would give you a url of this:
http://www.yourwebsite.com/index.php?board=1.0
The board number is at the end of the url. So in that box should be put simply the number "1"  (no quotes). If you want to display this ad in multiple boards, you can put 1,2 (where 2 is the number of the second board) to display it in both boards 1 and 2. If you want to display your ad code on every board, simply leave this input box empty.

I can't get this to work. Is there a file I can edit manually that would make it work?

If the MOD did install properly (no errors) *AND* you chose to install in your custom theme (if you're using one) there is no reason why it shouldn't work.

Hi All,
I just upgraded to 2.0.8, am running overviewlight_20a theme and a couple mods that are significant - Boards in Cats (columns) and Recent Forum Topics Boardindex which adds recent posts to top of board. (Actually I am running a lot of mods but the ones above affect the layout)

I want to start selling ad space on the site and want to know if this mod will work with the config I have?
It fails as it tries to find and replace the following:
(See attachments)
I am not a programmer and have searched through several themes (default, curve and Overviewlight) in the boardindex.template.php file and can't find what the mod is looking for.
Will the paid mod work?

see the wiki/faq artilce regarding errors during mod installation.

Need help!

I have SMF 2.0.8 installed, and have Ad Management mod 3.2 installed from the Package Manager.
My current theme is SMF Default Theme - Curve.
Then I add an ads, with only use option "Display ads on every page on the top of the page".
After save and refresh to Home, the ads shown on the top of all pages.
But its only shown to Moderator & Guest only, did not shown to Members.
I need to know how to fix it?

yep, do you know how to look and see what/where the edit is suppose to be? its simple if you are familiar editing source, there's a little icon just left of the pre-install entries, click it

It all seems easy but the installer could not find what it needed so it could insert/replace and when I went to where the code is supposed to be to manually do it, I couldn't find it either.
So then what do you do?

vbgamer45

Look at orginal SMF files find the code then try to find simliar code in your SMF version.
