Hi,

I m running SMF 1.1.7 with SMF Gallery and DilberMC theme. I'd like to install the Highslide Image Viewer.

What are the files to modify? Has anyone tried it with DilberMC theme?

Thanks.

You can see manual install instructions on the mod download page.

Thanks digger. My concern was that the instructions do not mention any other theme templates except the default templates and my experience has been that quite often my theme template needs to be modified as well.

Just being cautious rather than spending time undoing things or coming here to ask more "silly" questions from you guys.

Thanks once again. I'll do the mod and see how it goes.

Hi digger, mod carried out with no problems but I don't see the effects.

I enable Highslide for the album as well as in the general settings but still didn't see the effect. I did  a hard refresh but still nothing.

Is there some other setting that I need to enable? Or is there a manual on how to use it?

Regards.

Vulcan if you need help I can help you if you want. I am using a custom theme as well and the only issue I have found is with the search mechanism. It still throws an error if a search string doesn't exist. This may not be directly due to this mod as I have others there as well but it started to occur after the install. Are you using Tiny Portal with that or not?

There is no any settings for mod. You can't disable or enable it.

Highslide Image Viewer is mod for SMF forum. Not for any gallery.

Hi digger,

Well I went to admin/gallery/settings/layout and in there, is an option for "Use Highslide (animated transitions)" which is set to "Yes". And when I create an album i have the option "Enable Highslide" which is again set to yes. This is what I am referring to.

Is there some other settings that I need to enable?

Love what you did! could i please have the JS you made?  =P

And also, areas that are made transparent turn grey, wouldn't a color matching the highslide window have a better effect?

Yes I agree, please post how you did that tweak.  I love how it opens and closes the pictures, very very nice.

In index.template.php

find
hs.creditsText = "";

add before
hs.easing = "easeInBack";
hs.easingClose = "easeOutBack";

No that's not it.  His mod has it wait until picture loads.  And also the way the picture opens and closes is different.  I tried adding hs.easing, hs.easingclose didn't work.

I tried PMing Fals on his site, hopefully he will share his secret.

Solution:
http://highslide.com/ref/hs.easing

1) Installing Robert Penner's Easing Equations

   1. Go to www.robertpenner.com/easing and download "ActionScript 1.0 Equations". The library is published under a BSD licence, and has no link to the Highslide licence.
   2. Extract the zip file into your highslide folder.
   3. Your highslide folder now contains the file easing_equations.as. This is an ActionScript 1.0 file, but the syntax is ECMAScript and it works flawlessly with browsers. To prevent confusion you may want to rename it to easing_equations.js.
   4. Include the file in your HTML page:

      <script type="text/javascript" src="highslide/easing_equations.js"></script>

   5. Too see what hs.easing alternatives you have, see Robert Penner's Equations Visualizer.

2) Setting the easing to linearTween

Put this in the head section of your page. This affects all expanders

<script type="text/javascript">
  hs.easing = 'linearTween';
</script>

It's ok, working code:

// * Highslide mod
echo '<script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript" src="', $settings['default_theme_url'], '/Highslide/easing_equations.js"></script>
<script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript" src="', $settings['default_theme_url'], '/Highslide/highslide.js"></script>
<script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript" src="', $settings['default_theme_url'], '/Highslide/highslide.', $context['user']['language'], '.js"></script>
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="', $settings['default_theme_url'], '/Highslide/highslide.css" media="screen" />
<script type="text/javascript">
    hs.graphicsDir = "', $settings['default_theme_url'], '/Highslide/";
hs.restoreCursor = "zoomout.cur"; // necessary for preload
    hs.easing = "easeInBack";
    hs.easingClose = "easeOutBack";
    hs.expandSteps = "50"; // number of steps in zoom. Each step lasts for duration/step milliseconds. //xxxx
    hs.expandDuration = "500"; // milliseconds //xxxx
    hs.restoreSteps = "50"; //xxxx
    hs.restoreDuration = "500"; //xxxx
    hs.outlineType = "rounded-white";
    hs.captionEval = "this.thumb.alt";
    hs.align = "center";
// First, we need to turn on the number display
    hs.numberPosition = "caption";
    hs.creditsText = "";
    hs.creditsHref = "";
    hs.creditsTitle = "";
hs.transitions = ["expand", "crossfade"];
  if (hs.addSlideshow) hs.addSlideshow({
        interval: 5000,
        repeat: false,
        useControls: true,
fixedControls: false,
        overlayOptions: {
        opacity: 1,
        position: "top right",
        hideOnMouseOut: true
}
    });
  </script>';
// Highslide mod *

And copy the file easing_equations.js in your Highslide folder.

Edited, correct code now.

Thanks for this nice mod, however I do have a question and I'm sorry if this is a stupid question. O:)

But is there anyway to make it work for every image within tags ? Cause at the moment seems to re-size some pictures and some not...  ???

Mod work for images with thumbnails or linked.
