hxxp:www.dittnettsted.no [nonactive] uses the bridge from Orstio with Joomla 1.0.8 Stable + SMF 1.1 RC2 + bridge 1.1.3. I have even made a hxxp:www.dittnettsted.no/content/view/17/32/ [nonactive] how to get it to work properly in norwegian for those interested.

Hi!

I saw a lot of great work! congrats

And this is my site: www.trovaidea.it [nofollow] is in italian, but you can see the joomla 1.0.8 and SFM 1.1 RC2 integration, on this page http://www.trovaidea.it/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=66 [nofollow]

smf wrapped using ortio's bridge! Is a Portuguese IRC community with lots of noob tutorials, downloads, links ...etc

I guess I'll post my second Joomla/SMF site. It isn't done—I'm still tweaking here and there and there isn't any content as yet—but the basic look is complete.

has anyone found any examples of a good minimalist site using the bridge?

This is where Google AdSense integration into SMF is also discussed...

This should be added to the bottom of the Joomla template:

<?php mysql_select_db($GLOBALS['db_name']); ?>

Thank you very much Orstio!
I was wondering why the forum was not accessible in Internet Explorer. I had use Firefox to access the forum. It used to flicker and repeatedly reload in IE... Now it it works like charm.

As per the original instructions for installation, there was no need to modify Joomla! templates at all. However, as I modded the template to get dynamic titles, I guess I has to put this line at the end :)

I appreciate your feedback  8)

Orstio

No problem.  :)

That's amazing what you've done with your forum theme.  I take you do themes/templates as well as Google modules?

Moonray

Yeah, I try to :)
Templates and themes generally for myself and modules for public release...

Your work with the bridge, however, is astounding! Keep up the great work :)

we've just started using smf again  :D We had to use joomlaboard for a bit but thankfully the new bridge is better integrated with community builder and it sounds like that might get better in the future so good news because smf is miles better for our forum!

Our sites www.yomotraining.com Log in as username: test and password: tester

Not yet upgraded to joomla 1.09 as we're waiting for the JACLplus access component to update. SMF RC2 and a modified SAF theme which I was onlg going to use temporarily but it seems to fit in pretty well so will probably stick with it.

Theres an issue with some of the scripts not working (quote doesn't work) which I think might be a conflict with another script in Joomla but don't have the knowledge to find  :( Otherwise everything seems to be working well. Other things on the site are coppermine gallery and a whole load of joomla add ins. We're also using Thyme which is a commercial calendar that can be integrated into joomla and syncs well with ical.

oops I forgot we don't use coppermine anymore! Its menalto gallery
  :-X

Moonray

masyomo,

You have made the right choices there!
Joomla - SMF with Orstio's bridge - Gallery2 (with a bridge perhaps?)

Way to go...
