Keep first post at top of new posts

I have set the following option: "Show most recent posts at the top".  As newer posts are added the original post gets pushed down the list.  Is there any way to keep the first post at the top of the list in order to keep the intent of the topic in view.

No, you can order all posts top to bottom or bottom to top, but you can't have most recent at top with oldest post first.

There is a mod that does it but it's not compatible with the 2.1.x series. You could request an update in its support topic: https://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=554768.0

Thanks so much for your help.  Much appreciated.  I'll give the Zen Blocks Mod a try.  I didn't see it when I searched so thanks for the pointer.
