Great theme!

And Jasidog does a fantastic job in support for it as well.

Is it possible to remove the cartoons on the top and bottom of the page?
Title: Re: Endar
Post by: jasidog on July 29, 2007, 09:37:57 PM
Yeah there's a ZIP file along side the main download that contains PSD's if you export the sliced images in imageready you'll get the header and footer images without those. Then you just upload them to the Endar images directory.

If you have any trouble with that I can help you out. :)

Oh and thanks Essential Knight, it's appreciated. :)

Well you need photoshop to open PSD files, it comes with imageready.

I'm just off to bed because it's very late here but if you need help just shout  and tell me what you want the text in the logo to say. Then I'll post the files you need tomorrow. :)

Oh thanks so much, I appreciate it. I have a logo already and I would like to use that if I could. You can check out my site if you want to see it: http://www.themakeupdivas.com/index.php

Well I'm not sure how easy it will be to do it with that image. It might be a problem to make the colours fit in. I'll give it a try though. :)

That would be great, thanks.
Maybe I can get someone to come up with another one, my daughter did that one.

Well try this out and see if it's ok Avidum. :)

Download this ZIP file - http://jasidog.com/misc/avidum-images.zip

You'll find several image files inside a folder in the ZIP package. Upload all those image files using FTP to -

your-smf/Themes/endar/images/

Replacing the original images.

Then take a look at the board and refresh the page.

If you've any problems or don't like it let me know. :)

Post by: avidum on July 30, 2007, 04:02:21 PM
Ok I will do that and let you know. Just keep your fingers crossed cuz I am not experienced in doing this stuff. lol
Title: Re: Endar
Post by: avidum on July 30, 2007, 04:15:45 PM
Ok I uploaded the images but now I am not sure what you mean by "your-smf/Themes/endar/images/".
Title: Re: Endar
Post by: jasidog on July 30, 2007, 04:25:32 PM
Well you need to replace the images that come with the theme. With the new ones.

So you put those new images in the folder on your webspace were the default images for the theme are currently.

In your case that would be in the folder at  - http://www.themakeupdivas.com/Themes/endar-103/images/

So in the same way you would normally add files to your website, you do the same here with the image files, but to that location.

Does that help?

Post by: avidum on July 30, 2007, 05:11:35 PM
Well it is not looking too good. The colors don't match well at all.
I'd like to thank you for taking the time to do this for me. I really appreciate it. :)

Hmm try this the colours have changed so it fits better but it's a bit bland perhaps.

If I want to add mods where I need to add "language" modifications, where do I go to do that?

The files I need to edit are not in the language folder.
Title: Re: Endar
Post by: jasidog on May 28, 2009, 06:47:49 AM
The way themes work is that if you don't need to change a file from the default theme you don't include it and the board works out to use the default theme version.

So the files you need are in the default themes language folder. If you only want the mod to apply to the Endar theme then copy the correct file over to Endar's language folder for editing.

Hope that helps. :)

Do you have plans of making this for 2.0? I would love to keep using this theme once in 2.0
Title: Re: Endar
Post by: jasidog on July 08, 2009, 02:21:24 PM
The short answer is that I don't know dannbass. I know it's not a very good answer.

I don't know when 2.0 is coming out, I guess it can't be long. Right now I don't have the time or energy for it. I hope to do so at some point but I'm unsure how much work it would involve. I can't promise it.

So my advice is don't hold out for it. Sorry I can't be definite.

Thanks for the quick answer! I understand perfectly, and you did an amazing job with both themes!

jasidog, i can pay for your time if you manage to make this theme compatible with 2.0.
Title: Re: Endar
Post by: jasidog on March 03, 2012, 09:28:12 AM
Hi Frytec! :)

Sorry it's taken a while to respond. It's very flattering and generous of you to say so. I'm afraid I have to say no, sorry.

Of course it's possible to do. It is just a question of how much work it will take. I suspect it would be easier starting from scratch using the old images and referencing the old css.

Converting the old themes up would be very messy I think. I don't know for sure as I've never really used or worked with SMF 2.x.x.  Just looked quickly a moment ago at the a couple of file diffs.

Either way it would take me quite a lot of time. Especially since I'm out of practice with these things. So I'd be uncomfortable asking for payment when I'm not sure how much work it will involve and don't know even roughly how long it would take.

Sorry frytec.

Title: Re: Endar

Hey Crip! :)

Again sorry for taking so long to reply. Yes, I've absolutely no problem with you doing that providing it's not sold. Not that it's likely to be but there is an issue and that is that it's not entirely up to me in this case.

I created the theme for someone and they kindly allowed me to release it publicly also. I don't think he'd mind but you'd need to contact the owner of the Endar domain. You can find the info you need in the readme file (http://smfdemo.jasidog.com/Themes/endar-108/readme-endar.html) provided with the theme, right near the top of the page.

Hello,

I downloaded this theme to see what it looked like, and i love it's apearance.
I like the images down at the bottum and images at the top. It makes the theme catchy, and makes people want to register.
Can you please make this theme for 2.0.2.

Thankyou,
Ninja111

I won't be updating it sorry.

I downlaoded it and test drive this theme.

Unless you are knowledgeable with programming you should not try to use this theme
as there are quiet a number of hiccups.

The theme will hang up and revert to the same page over and over and over and will not uninstall.

Anybody wants to try this theme please make sure you backup first.

It is an ancient theme. Last version it was available for was 1.1.12

Theme updated for SMF 2.1.x
Thanks to @jasidog for allowing me to take over this theme.

For copyright reasons, some images and graphics were removed from the updated version.
PS: It might need some additional testing so let me know of any issues and I'll try to fix them when I can.

I installed endar theme

The logo is like this, but I want it to sit perfectly on the back and look the same on both mobile and desktop PCs.

https://www.ankarasutesisatim.com/catkara/index.php

It looks like this, so the landscape image is sitting at the bottom of the site, can we make the logo part like that too? or the logo I put on it fits perfectly.

To add it in the footer too:
index.template.php
Code (Search) Select
function template_body_below()
{
echo '
</div><!-- #main_content_section -->
<div class="upper-footer">

Code (Replace) Select
function template_body_below()
{
global $context;
echo '
</div><!-- #main_content_section -->
<div class="upper-footer">
<img style="margin-inline: auto" src="' . $context['header_logo_url_html_safe'] . '" alt="' . $context['forum_name_html_safe'] . '">', '

And then add this to css/custom/app.css or css/custom/custom_edits.css
.upper-footer > img {
  grid-column: 1/4;
  margin-inline: auto;
}

You need to add it as a background.

Add this:
header {
  background-image: url(https://catkarakoyu.com/forum/Themes/default/images/board_16_logo.png);
  min-height: 140px;
  background-repeat: no-repeat;
  background-position: center;
}
header::before, header h1.forumtitle, .social_icons:not(:has(> *)) {
  display: none;
}
