Glad, multiple forums use this and it works perfectly with your version of SMF as stated on the mod site.

With 200+ downloads, your the first having an issue with this.
Perhaps, the changes were not made.
These are the 1.1.4 modifications (http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?action=parse;mod=1203;attach=57746;smf_version=1.1.4)

where to enable popup?
In the Admin CP -> Themes and Layout -> Reset Options tab ->
"Reset all members current options for this theme" (this would be your theme)
-> "Show a popup when you receive new messages?" ->
Pull up change, check the box and apply changes.

I believe you are using SMF 1.1.x right?
This was working initially, what happened? Can you attach the current files the mod makes changes to?
-[n3rve]
Works great!

Can you provide additional information?
Did you get any errors when installing the mod? It doesn't alter the Admin.template.php file so the reset options button should be there.

I installed this mod on 2.0 Beta 3.1 Public successfully,
but when i test it on my own pc by sending a pm from test account to admin account,
i didn't get a notification, what should i do to make this mod take effect on smf 2.0 Beta 3.1 Public?
please help me, because i like this feature very much
thanks
Can you post a few screenshots to see how it is?
Many thanks!
isn't this feature built-in to smf already under Profile > Private Message Options
--thanks for a great mod!
we have had members that never knew that they had received a PM, due to their browser killing pop-ups. using the active window for the 'you have a PM' message solves this problem.

(installed on 1.1.6 with no errors)
Doesn't work.
I'm using 1.1.5, installed it, and it doesn't work!
Package has been downloaded successfully
PM Popup - Uses Active Window

The package you are trying to download or install is either corrupt or not compatible with this version of SMF.
After I had applied the mod, I got this message. I downloaded the version for SMF 2.0 Beta 4
Sorry, Sorted ;)

i have a strange problem when i receive a pm i get the popup but when i registered as a new user i didnt get any pm popup notification as i have also intalled pm on registration mod :(...can u tell me whats the problem ???
I'll have time to investigate the reason for that over weekend, I can't say, Pm on registration is possibly conflicting with this mod, although, strange as mine makes just a little change in source file(s).

Hi, im having a problem installing this mod
I have SMF 2.0 BETA 4
i get this error
The package you are trying to download or install is either corrupt or not compatible with this version of SMF.
i noticed the installer info for smf 2.0 beta 4 is missing from the xml file
any idea's?
I'll update the module tomorrow.
-[n3rve]
Works now?
-[n3rve]
No Apply Mod button in my SMF2.0 RC1
Meh :P Okay, I'll get to it when I return to a PC.
-[n3rve]
"The package you are trying to download or install is either corrupt or not compatible with this version of SMF." Using 2.0 Beta4 :'( :'( :'(
I just updated it, sorry ;)
-[n3rve]
Works great now. thanks 8) 8) 8)
Can we change the domain to something else? e.g. the name of the forum.
<domain.com>
From: username
Subject: test
New personal Message(s).
View them now (in active window)?
thanx.
I don't understand, change what domain?
-[n3rve]
On the pop up it says:
<domain.com>
From: nick
Subject: test
New personal Message(s).
View them now (in active window)?
The domain of the forum. Look at the bold letters above (domain.com) that one.. can it be changed to the Forum name instead of the forums domain?
The PM code for SMF 2.0 RC1 on index.template.php has changed from:
window.open("' . $scripturl . '?action=pm");
to:
window.open(smf_prepareScriptUrl(smf_scripturl) + "action=pm");' : '', '
Did I get it right with the following mod?
window.location = smf_prepareScriptUrl(smf_scripturl) + "action=pm" ;' : '', '
Edit: I received a PM from a member and the code worked.
Will this be updated for rc3 ?
[n3rve] is a very busy man, and since I have this running on my own site, I'll share the RC3 package I have until the official package is updated, or as soon as [n3rve] instructs me to remove it.
