Does anyone know what the values for the attachment_type field are in the smf_attachments table? I know 3 is a thumbnail, 0 looks to be a normal attachment to a post, 1 is an avatar in a custom directory, but what is 2?

Pretty sure it's a holdover from how things were done way way back and shouldn't be in use any more. You're right about the others, though.
