Title: Reset guest permission
Post by: tazgal on January 10, 2011, 07:35:20 PM
I changed something in the guests permissions and now the guests cannot view the board.  Initially, the Guest permission was set to 3 and now it's at 36.  I want the guest to be able to browse the forum, but not to be able to view the actual posts without registering.  I've searched the post and I tried changing the guests' permissions, but no luck.  How do I reset it?  I have not installed new Mods.  Site: aztechnet.com/smf. Thanks.

This will help you a bunch:  Permissions (http://docs.simplemachines.org/index.php?board=60.0;sort=subject) and Membergroups (http://docs.simplemachines.org/index.php?board=59.0;sort=subject).

Let us know if you need further assistance.

do you mean that when a guest tries to view your forum they have to login to view anything?

Yes, now when you go to the forum, you automatically see the log in menu only.  I want the guests to be able to see the forum.
