Emails can't be sent after Cloudflare installation

I installed Cloudflare a while ago and it successfully solved my bots and bandwidth issues, but now there's a new one: if the forum tries to send an email, I get these two errors:

fsockopen(): unable to connect to hxxp:mail.mysite.it [nonactive]:465 (Network is unreachable)

Unable to connect to SMTP server: 101: network is unreachable

Help me, please.

Make sure you mail.mysite.it is an A record with IP can't be masked for email with cloudflare

I tried, but I already have a CNAME record with the name, stating it's an alias of the home URL.

I solved the problem but I had to remove the "mail" CNAME record and modify the A one from  "webmail" (don't know why cloudflare created this one. I don't think there's anything like webmail.mysite) to "mail" and deactivate its proxy option.

Would this impact security? I installed cloudflare because of bot invasion, you see.

It will help with bots yes. If your site was secure before cloudflare then no. If you are hiding your ip from people then no email/smtp will expose it if hosted on same server.
