YAY! I can't figure out the thing to install it, is it in "other site" button for installing and the {number}.js file?

Take a peak at this help text that is in the mod, I have put very useful information in them to help in these scenarios.
Quote from: Wibiya Integration Mod by Labradoodle-360You must enter a valid unique key for Wibiya bar to show up.

If you don't have one, visit Wibiya.com to register for one.

Don't know what a Wibiya Unique Key is? When you create your Wibiya bar, it gives you a HTML Javascript code to add to your page, inside that code is a src, the key is in that code.

e.g. script src='http://cdn.wibiya.com/Loaders/Loader_12345.js' type='text/javascript' you would use 12345 as your unique key.

ok. just confirming...
Title: Re: Wibiya Integration Mod
Post by: Matthew K. on February 24, 2010, 01:59:47 PM
Version 1.1 is released.

Version 1.1 only supports SMF 2.0 RC2 as of now.

SMF 1.1.11 Users: use v1.0
SMF 2.0 RC2 Users: use v1.1
If you are using Wibiya Integration Mod v1.0 on SMF 2.0 RC2, please uninstall it and install v1.1.

1.1.11 support will be added shortly with permission/user toggle as well as other new features, I apologize for any inconvenience.

sorry, i mean the latest posts, there is an application for wibiya called latest posts, it should show the most recent posts... anyhow, it's asking for an rss feed link to be able to view them, what should this link be?

My mod, Advanced Footer Mod (http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=2392) adds a link to RSS in the footer if you'd like.

The exact link though is: ?action=.xml;type=rss

Hope this helps,

As I do not support Wibiya, only the Integration mod for SMF which I wrote, this is outside of my support as this is not related to the SMF end, rather the link not working on their end.

However, I will contact Wibiya regarding this issue and post back when I have a solution.

Thank you for your interest in my mod,

Hello sir,
I was going through your mod and found that it is SIMPLY AMAZING, but I cannot use it beacause I am running SMF 2.0 rc1.2 and do not want to update. So could you tell me how to make it work on 2.0 rc1.2 or could you PLEZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ release it ALSO for SMF 2.0 rc1.2.

Verso - After looking through all of your files, I apologize for the delay, I noticed that all of the edits are in place. Were you sure to set all of the settings correctly? Enabled, Correct Key and Permissions?

ultradog - I do not intend on back-porting this mod, as it takes time and it is highly suggested that you update to RC3 anyways as a lot of issues have been fixed.

Yes, Wibiya Integration Mod is compatible with SMF 2.0 RC3.

It does not seems to be working with SMF 2.0 RC3.

I made an attempt but fail.

can you tell me how I can install this mod maunally ?

Post by: Liam. on April 15, 2010, 03:35:22 PM
To manually install, go to the mod page and just below downloads, select 2.0 RC3 in the dropdown titled "Manual Install Instructions for SMF".

However, don't do that! Go the easier way. Use SMF 2.0's emulate system. At the bottom of the Package Manager in the Admin Panel, below the listings, press "advanced" and that will give you a way to emulate versions. Change it to "2.0 RC2" in that field, save it, and voila...

If i use version emulate, will that stop other mods from working?
Title: Re: Wibiya Integration Mod
Post by: Arantor on May 08, 2010, 08:20:05 AM
No, you just use version emulate to override the version check, then you put it back after - it's just for installation/uninstallation.
Title: Re: Wibiya Integration Mod
Post by: rd on May 08, 2010, 09:00:01 AM
This mod basically does only a template edit and thus it's safe from conflict with most other mods.
Title: Re: Wibiya Integration Mod
Post by: Arantor on May 08, 2010, 09:02:59 AM
It could even be done without a template edit in 2.0 RC3 ;) and without a template edit in any version with a little more ingenuity...
Title: Re: Wibiya Integration Mod
Post by: SN on May 08, 2010, 09:50:06 AM
Thanks Arantor. I never knew what that did exsactly.

When i try to install this it fails on Manage permissions file.

will it be ok to still install it through package manager, then just make the manual edits to manage permissions file myself?
Title: Re: Wibiya Integration Mod
Post by: Arantor on May 08, 2010, 09:51:22 AM
It should be OK to do so, the permissions code didn't change between 2.0 RC2 and 2.0 RC3 IIRC.
Title: Re: Wibiya Integration Mod
Post by: SN on May 08, 2010, 09:56:57 AM
well, i have looked at the Manual Install Instructions. its only a small edit, like 2 lines.

i thought to save me Manual Installing the whole mod, just install what the package manager doesn't fail on, then just do the edits myself on what it does
Title: Re: Wibiya Integration Mod

$txt['enable_wibiya'] = 'Enable Wibiya';
$txt['wibiya_unique_key'] = 'Wibiya Unique ID<div class="smalltext">if the src was 12345.js you enter 12345</div>';

There should be more than that, perhaps that edit ManagePermissions.english.php?
Title: Re: Wibiya Integration Mod
Post by: SN on May 08, 2010, 10:48:08 AM
that was from my Modifications.english.php

this is what i have in my ManagePermissions.english.php
// Labradoodle-360's Wibiya Integration Mod.
$txt['permissiongroup_simple_wibiya_basic'] = 'Wibiya Integration Mod Permissions';
$txt['permissionname_view_wibiya'] = 'View Wibiya';
$txt['permissionhelp_view_wibiya'] = 'If View Wibiya is checked the membergroup will be able to View the Wibiya bar - If the settings are correct.';
$txt['permissionname_toggle_wibiya'] = 'Toggle Wibiya';
$txt['permissionhelp_toggle_wibiya'] = 'If Toggle Wibiya is checked the membergroup will be able to turn the Wibiya bar on or off via their profile.';

?>

comparing that to the Manual Install Instructions it seems to be correct

Did you empty the file cache after installation as I already said?

Nope, i didn't select UTF-8.

Yes, i cleared file cache as you said before

Post by: Arantor on May 08, 2010, 02:38:45 PM
Oh I see what it is, the author hasn't bothered to define the permissions group properly since he didn't bother to set it up for Classic mode.

Add this to ManagePermissions.english.php then clear the cache again.
$txt['permissiongroup_wibiya'] = 'Wibiya Integration Mod Permissions';

Try manually installing it. Also take a peak at this (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=366791.60;topicseen) post.

An update for this mod should be coming eventually. We're working on restructuring our team and our mod site before we get things rolling again.

Thanks for the patience.

I have completed a complete re-write of Wibiya Integration Mod, from the ground up. With some variations in how it works, some additions, and bugfixes, as well as code optimization. It will be compatible with SMF 2.0 RC2, SMF 2.0 RC3, SMF 2.0 RC4, SMF 1.1.10, SMF 1.1.11, SMF 1.1.12.

(Full changelog will be added to the updated readme when released)

I am expecting to have it released tomorrow as I still have a couple finishing touches to do, as well as some more XML to finish it off.

Apologies for the late release of Wibiya Integration Mod 1.2. There was an issue with 1.1.12 I was working on resolving.

Here is the changelog for Wibiya Integration Mod 1.2
Quote+) SMF 2.0 RC4 Compatibility Added
+) SMF 1.1.12 Compatibility Added
!) Latest Wibiya Code Update!
!) Help text updated.
+) Bugfix: margin added to forum base when bar is activated, so copyright/footer shows.
!) Checkbox changed to select in Look and Layout for profiles.
!) Code completely re-written for optimization.

However, Wibiya Integration Mod 1.2 is now released! :)

Enjoy,

i add 579622 in Wibiya Unique Key

I definitely appreciate you reporting this.

The problem is the "dir_0625" part of the URL. When I was writing the update, I created multiple Wibiya Bars to verify the sections of the URL that actually changed when a new bar was made. At first, I figured that "dir_0625" definitely changed, but I could not replicate a change when creating a bar. For now, you can change "dir_0625" in Load.php to "dir_0579". I'll be sure to shoot out an update with this bugfix today.

Thanks again, and I apologize for this issue.

Hi Guys,

I am running SMF RC 3 and just installed 1.4.  I entered the correct directory and unique key, but the bar does not appear.  I thought it might have something to do with my custom theme but I switched my forum to the default SMF theme and the bar still does not appear.

I did notice that my directory is 0650 but after I hit save it converts to 650 (without the beginning zero).  Is it supposed to do that?  Any help would this would be appreciated.

Thanks!

EDIT:  i appear to be having the same issue as some others.  it works fine in IE but not firefox.  i cleared my cache as suggested and no dice.  any ideas?

I'm having the same problem, mi dir number starts with a 0... and the 0 dissapears after saving wich is probably why the bar isn't showing. i tried to use a few browsers but i can't get it right.

The removal of 0's in the dir number was taken into account, and a 0 by default was placed into the code in Load.php. So there shouldn't be issues.

then i guess it's not working,
since i just installed it with no errors.. but nothing pops up...
my wybiya bar does work on wordpress so i guess nothing is wrong with the bar itself. (don't run them at the same time)

I have also installed this mod without errors and I can't get it working.  I double checked to make sure that no files were missing. I have set the unique key and the directory. However it doesn't show up in the permissions. Only 2 new boxes with no text next to them. Also it doesn't show up in the profile settings. I also for got to add that yes I have it enabled.

When I installed it- it showed on Chrome, and sometimes showed on Firefox, I never got it working on IE.
This came from members too. Also for some reason the connect button worked fine on Chrome but would never update to facebook, Never found out if it worked on Firefox because when it did show up it would take forever to connect.

Neat feature though

Just an update- I uninstalled the mod and the next day the actual developers sent an email looking for feedback. Told them about the issues, they said there was nothing wrong (I dont think they understood when I said it may be the 3rd party mod) But for sh!tsngiggles I reinstalled  it and it works fine in Chrome(which made me happy) but not in FF (i didnt do ie) So I just disabled it for now because like i said, it is neat and I do wanna use it.

So any update as to why its invisible on FF?

Currently, the SMF Modders Team is trying to clear most of their mods to work on some new goals and focuses that have formed, so the team itself will not continue to provide support for mods that they're getting rid of.

I have sent the Customization Team messages regarding transferring some mods for me, although they have not been yet.

I screwed up my post but fixed it- I would start w/TinyPortal
worked on fresh install- added TP and went back to my old issue w/FF not working
(for now I disabled Wibiya)

I went to use the connect so I went and enabled again and figured I would just leave it (and those w/Chrome can enjoy it)

Now I have a new problem- it seems people were getting error messages while trying to post new topics. The error said nothing except to click back (but it posted)
May not be an issue w/this mod BUT it was the only change I made in a week. Went and then disabled and as of right now, a day later, no one is having issues. Maybe it isnt an issue w/this mod but I figured I would at least mention it- in case Im not the only one.

If this mod isn't going to be supported by the author or anyone else and it CLEARLY doesn't work why in the world is it still up?! OR why doesn't it AT LEAST have the little notice like some of them do that say that it is outdated and not supported anymore? It is quite frustrating to download a mod and mess with it trying to get it to work and then read through 7 pages of crap on this thread (hoping you can find out why it's not working) just to find out that it doesn't work for anyone and the author abandoned it a few months ago.

It's actually being offered to be taken up in a topic "Mods up for Grabs" and it will only be requested there, for disclaimer reasons.

Yup, it was nice and I knew I should have checked to see that the important mods on our site were able to run on 2.0.2 but failed to check this one, it was not only our sites chat room but it dealt advertising for our site too making us at least enough money to pay for our hosting of the site and it's gaming server.  I hope somebody will pick it up soon.  I see most of the other mods that Lab created seem to have been picked up but not this one yet.

Lol most of the other mods I wrote? I've written many many mods (over 200, although about half of them were released).

I am still one of the top mod authors by count, so I don't think "most of them" is even close to accurate, although I have handed over a good 15.

Starting to work on the update. I'll be completely rewriting it from the ground up, shouldn't take me more than an hour or two at the most.

The new version (Wibiya Integration Mod 2.0) will ONLY be compatible with SMF 2.0x, dropping all 1.1x branch compatibility. In addition, I will be writing it primarily with hooks.

The wibiya bar does not show up for me, I had to emulate to install it  from 2.0 but no errors, using curve theme.
The key and dir are in place in the wibiya config and wibia disable is set to no in the user profile settings, but no bar and no errors.  I did notice that when viewing the source that its putting a zero "0" in front of the 4 digit dir, (0xxxx) is this normal?

Thanks

Never mind.... I got it working, works fine on 2.0 once you get the script placed somewhere in the template..... somewhere else.
It's nice to have the user toggle feature, but you should be able to use this toolbar stand alone even without this mod, you just have to get it into the template.

Thanks this is a great mod  ;D

I just sent you a couple PM's Labradoodle, the toolbar ID and dir ID are not being integrated properly, it's using your ID's and not the ones that we enter into the configuration option in the admin control panel of our forum.

2.0.1 with a critical bugfix coming momentarily.

Also, when trying to uninstall the wibiya plugin, I get an error as such:

Unknown column 'variable' in 'where clause'
File: /home/myusername/mysite.com/Packages/temp/wib_uhooks.php
Line: 70

Note that I've changed my real usernamd and site to what I wrote above,  it does list the correct username and site in the real error I just got trying to uninstall it.

I hope I can update with this problem.

Thanks. Do you know if it is a personal 1on1 chat like facebook chat or is it multiple users who can all sign in to one chat session?
Title: Re: Wibiya Integration Mod
Post by: City Builder on January 30, 2012, 09:13:29 PM
It's multiple users that can all sign in and use one room for their chat session.

Make sure to get the one named "Social Chat" as it offers you more control over the chat room as the administrator of it.  I don't know about other people, but the other one that Wibiya offers was nothing but a problem for many of our members, where they could not sign in through facebook or twitter and had to start accounts on one of the other services that offered to allow them to sign in to the chat.

So we switched to the Social Chat module and now our members can use their twitter, facebook or other accounts to login to the chat room.

Cant get it to display ... it isnt saving the wibiya directory ID?

QuoteEnter your Wibiya Directory ID.

I assume this is the username - cant find anything else in the account i just signed up for. Its a single word name and it wont save it.
Toolbar ID ok though.

Latest versions of SMF, Simple Portal, Wibiya-Integration-Mod-2.0.0.zip

Permissions set to allow for everyone and wibiya enabled in settings and themes.

Click the "Wibiya Directory ID" field, and look at what gets bolded in the Live Code Preview, that's what you need to enter into the field. The field strips all non-numeric characters upon being saved, as it needs to be a 6-digit numeric key.

If you go to the wibiya site and follow through with their instructions to setup the tool bar, at the end of it they will give you code to copy and paste on your site.  In that code it will list both the toolbar ID and the dir ID, that is where I got mine from to insert in this great plugin.

Yes, not clear in the mod description where to get this ...

<script src="http://cdn.wibiya.com/Toolbars/dir_0000/

When I click the smf mod text 'Wibiya Directory ID:'  , it toggles a single '0' in the box and applies bold to the '0000' in the code.
Inputting a single 0 as highlighted on click doesnt work, '0000' , the directory ID doesnt work but it does say its a valid length. As you say its a 6 digit code ... tried 000000 but nothing is working.
It wont save more than the  4x '0000' s anyway.

toolbar id accepted:1121942
wibiya directory ID:0000  (saved also but no toolbar yet - not the 6 digit you were advising it would be)

this works!

Yes, the first code (dir0000) was automatically produced from the wibiya setup screen. copy and pasted.

add to this - what i mean is - the  0000 code was automatically created on their site when i made an account and set up the bar - and it didnt work. only running the bar setup a second time produced the code that works.

Both codes are generated by Wibiya...

apart from the faulty code it produced, it does look nice now that its working - we have a free chat bar that i was paying 50$ before at cometchat.

thanks.

Hello hope it's not a bother but i got a few quick questions. I want to integrate this into my site as from what i can see it will be perfect for my users so anyway the questions.

1. When it integrates does this mean it can see who is online, get new messages and the likes,

2. Regarding chat i see i can private chat with members but when it comes to a chatroom is it set to only members can use it.

3.Can i have more than 1 chatroom so people can choose.

4.Can i add custom buttons which when clicked will take me to certain parts of my forum or open up a website in a new tab

5.Can i have this show on my custom .html/php files as my forums is integrated into my website ?

That covers everything to integrate it into my site :P

Thanks

Sorry for the late response here...

2) The whole Wibiya bar is integrated with SMF's permission system, so you could set the bar to only show up for members.
1, 3, 4 are all questions you should be asking Wibiya or looking at their documentation of, has nothing directly to do with my integration mod.

5) Sure, you could use SSI and then some code from my mod.

Any chance of getting the "new" Wibiya bar working with this mod and the SMF forum software?

I just was forced to convert over to the new Wibiya bar and after setting up basic rules to make the bar show up on our site again, what I found was that my sites forum subjects (index pages) as well as the links were removed, or invisible.  Well, invisible would indicate that something is still there to be clicked but that wasn't the case, using the new Wibiya bar made all index pages of messages disappear.

I don't know if it has to do with the new Wibiya bar itself, or the way that this mod implements it into the forums pages.

If there are some new updates with the source Wibiya needs to add then that would most definitely deprecate this modification. I'm hoping to wait on updating modifications like this until SMF 2.1 is out then update them all.
