Post by: blix on September 21, 2006, 05:18:20 AM
Hallo I´m useing smf1.1rc3 with template BacknBlack. I downloaded the ADMod but can´t install. The error i get is that some folders need to be chmod to 777. Itried to do taht with my ftp client but without any success. Iguess these files/folders belong to apache.

How do i set the permissions now?

thanks in advance

same thing. i can't install ad_mod_rc3_v2.zip cause board says that my packages folder is read only.

/forum/ - 755
/forum/Packages - 777
/forum/Packages/index.php - 777
/forum/Packages/install.list - 777
/forum/Packages/backups - 777
/forum/Packages/backups/.htaccess - 777
/forum/Packages/backups/index.php - 777

Why it does not work??

Make sure that all the files are chomd to 777
If that still doesn't work
Create a folder inside the package folder called temp and chmod it to 777

i know it looks daunting, but if you take your time, pay attention to what your doing, and most importantly, backup the files you intend on editing, you'll surprise yourself. its really not all that hard. :)
