Title: Leviathan
Post by: Bloc on October 21, 2006, 09:58:40 AM
Link to the theme (https://custom.simplemachines.org/index.php?theme=142)

Leviathan is a strong-colored theme with several new features that will make it easier to use:

    * 3 color versions, chooseable by user directly on frontpage.
    * font-size chooser, that remember its setting for both guest and users.
    * 4 width settings:
o Fixed - Fixed at 800 pixels in width
o Wide - about 95% of screen width
o Full - using the whole screen
o Reset - Default width, about 85% of screenwidth
    * 2 upshrink buttons - for shrinking both the news area and the user-area separately.
    * New Profile template! Borrowing the idea from this topic (http://www.tinyportal.net/smf/index.php?topic=9809.0) , the profile screen can show a "Dashboard" (quicklinks to many sections), rather than the ususal summary page. Its made such that you can simply press the dashboard icon to get there - or set it as default, in case summary will be overidden.Note that a few restrictions have been put in:
          * Only yourself and those that can manage members, have access to "your" dashboard". Everyone else will not see it, even if pressing the button.
          * If you want both dashboard and summary, donĀ“t set dahsboard as default, but rather change the link for profile.

As always images are free to use in a SMF / TP enviroment.

- Note: icons on Profile.template are from CrystalXP.net (http://www.crystalxp.net/en.htm)

Bloc,

Nice theme.  I only see two minor problems.  When looking up a members user name in the message center the pop-up window's background and the color of the font used to report the answer are the same and therefore illegible.   Can you point me to the proper image or entry in the style sheet that I can change to alleviate this problem.

The other problem may not be a problem at all.  It could have been a design decision, but I think the calendar would look better with the days boxed.  If this too can be fixed with a simple tweak, I would be appreciative.

Thanks

Bloc,

I would like to tweak your theme to fit the color scheme of my web site, but I am unable to locate on the style sheet the color scheme for the discussion background.  Changing the main body background was straight forward but changing the discussion background color has eluded me.  If you could send me to a specific place on the stylesheet that defines this color and the hex code of the color used, I would be most appreciative.  Thanks

Wow... fabulous looking theme!  I'm impressed to the max.  Until now I have been creating my own and they don't even begin to compare to this one!

Has the problem of the black popup windows found a fix? Appreciate any assistance...

Great Theme

This is the best theme I have seen yet.  I am really enjoying it, but have found one problem.  Since applying the theme my error log is getting full of these errors

8: Undefined index: iso_case_folding
File: /home/talkfaux/public_html/forum/Themes/default/Admin.template.php (eval?)
Line: 104

Not sure what it means or how to fix it.

Hi Bloc!
This is my favourite theme. Well I like Enterprise as well. I have had a problem though. Not with the theme, but with the mods, rather. Their tabs would not show up. So, I hope it's okay with You, I have modified the index.template.php to do so. And now it does show the tabs... However they way to the right and down from the original buttons.

This is my first attempt at doing anything with the .php files.
Also I wanted to know if it's okay if I use the style sheet for my website. I want it to look just as good.

Could someone tell me how to change the code to create new buttons on top?

I'd like to change the Home button to go to the main website, put in a forum button, shop button, and a photo gallery button.

If someone could show me how to code one that links outside of the forum and the code to change the text for the Home button to Forum that would be excellent.

Thanks!

I wish I had these myself.  Someone said there was some kind of mod you can add for links to other areas of your site, but I have never been able to find it.

I've tried this but it doesn't work for Leviathan (or at least it didn't work for me). I've looked through the whole thread, changed the code 3 or 4 different ways, and nothing.

I've gotten as far as making new links but I haven't been able to get the links to point the right away. There must be some step that I'm missing in those instructions.

Will this theme work with the Ad Mod?

I got my answer and YES it does very well--thanks to  Sawz (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=136261.msg1066820#msg1066820) who helped me make the correct changes and get things going!

The Adoptive Parents Network Forum (http://adoptiveparentsnetwork.com/apnforums/index.php) looks VERY nice and has a method to earn some revenue now!

Nice theme.  I am having some trouble getting a couple mods to show up.  Specifically, Member Awards and Display Age and Location next to posts.  I can access the Awards admin panel in Admin, but the icon doesn't show up in the user's posts. Same with the Age and Location.

The code is there in the Display.template.php.  It's just not showing up.

Any clues?

Thanks!

Oh I hope the Black Background issue can be resolved. I have paid to have the Ad Management Mod added and didn't realize that the Black background was going to be an issue....  :(

It also shows up in all the Help boxes and on the Spell Check and well, that isn't so great.

Does Anyone know if there is just a spot in the .css file that might fix the Backgroung color? Any color would work better then the Black and we love this theme so much it would be sad to have to go back and start over......

This is a great theme!  Thanks very much.

When I click on a board, the navigation buttons that say Mark This Topic As Read, Notify of Replies, Start New Topic, and Post New Poll show up as boxes with little red x's.  How do I fix this?

Otherwise, it's a beautiful theme!

Okay, I found my own fix just by snooping around.  I noticed when I right-clicked on the images with the x's that it defined the path as images/english-utf8/ but the files uploaded just say english.  So I just renamed the english file to english-utf8 and it fixed the problem.

Anyway, I posted this in case someone else had the same problem.  Thanks!

I have two questions.

First I had been using this theme then went to another now after a year I am back with it again.

So is it possible to set any or the 3 colors to the default color?

Does anyone use this theme with Ultimate Profile?   It is installed and working fine except that no one can use custom backgrounds. Someone said you have to find the correct css, but can't find it.

I clicked on the width setting (full I think) on the top of the screen in right corner and now it has messed up the forum.  The top header is narrow and the main body is huge.  I cannot get it back to normal.

I have since heard of 3 others having the same problem.

Thanks for any help
