Title: Changing old URL references
Post by: dan27 on January 09, 2007, 09:06:27 AM
Hi, I have just opened for business a nice new SM forum that Im very happy with, but I have one problem.

Basically I asked my host for a temporary web address so I could install and configure SM while I waited for our main domain name to transfer over. All the install went ok and we started testing it out without any issues.

However today our new domain got activated, I changed all the references to the temporary URL in the admin settings however the page source still displays the old URL.

is there any way I can change any references to this URL? I believe its in the "Default_URL" and Default_Theme_Url" references?

Thanks for any help!

Dan

Sounds like you need to fix your paths.

What is repair_settings? (http://docs.simplemachines.org/index.php?topic=663)

Hi Redone, I had some luck with the repair_settings.php file, but there are still some references to the temporary address. Should I attempt a reinstall of the theme pack?
