Title: Select language box vanished.

SMF Version: SMF 1.1.1
When I installed SMF 1.1.1 a couple of days ago, the "Select Language" box was available in header. After two days of settings changes/configuration I notice that the box has vanished and won't appear even though I have "Basic Features / Enable user-selectable language support" checked. If I change the default SMF language, it changes fine. If users change their prefered language in their profile, it changes fine. However the "Select Language" box does not appear anywhere any more; neither when registering nor when logging in, nor when moving through forum pages.

Any hints? Why the forum behaviour has changed? What can I do?

The drop down box is not a default feature of SMF. Once your language packs are installed your members are allowed to select the different languages via there own profile settings.

Once selected within there own profile a new default for that user is set. To add a custom drop down language box the post below should help:
