Allright, I turned off titles for non-post groups (my staff) and everyone's "Newbie" title Disappeared EXCEPT for ONE member. My board manager. No matter what I do, I CANNOT get rid of her "Newbie" title. It's showing her position (group designation), then right under it, Newbie.
Here's another quirk: Her name shows up in BOLD in the "Users online" list, and nobody else does.
She was originally part of that Built-in Global Moderator's group, but I made a new group with custom permissions for her. At first, I thought that group was screwed up, so I made a WHOLE NEW group and put her in, and it's still the same thing. Newbie/bold name in list.
Next step, I checked the DB and went through groups and members and everything, couldn't find anything out of the ordinary.
I know I should delete her and put her back in, but it's a pain, seeing as how I'm bridging with Joomla, so I figured I'd see if anyone here knew what this was about before I start deleting people.
SMF & J! are both the most recent versions (1.1.1 / 1.0.12)
PHP is 5
MySQL is 4.2
Server OS: Win2K Server
Web Server: Apache
Thanks in advance!
Her name is in bold because she is on your buddy list. You can edit that through your profile.
Is she in any non-post count membergroup?
Link to a post to show us what it looks like, or simply take a screen shot.
Oh, ok.. No, I don't mind the bold, I just thought it was interrelated.
I've made it so that you can't see the board unless you're logged in to the main website, so here's what you need:
URL: http://www.hauntedprs.org
User: test
Pass: test
Once logged in, here's a link to her post:
http://www.hauntedprs.org/forums/index.php?topic=46.0
Her name is "HPRS Tricia" and no, she's not in any additional groups. I even double checked in SQL editor and looked at the "additionalGroups" field in the members table, and there is NOTHING there.
While in SQL, I got her group ID, which is 24.
Then I went to membergroups table and checked: 24, which comes back to her position (board manager), and the value for "minPosts" for her group is set to -1
I looked in every other single table in the database for SOME reference to her belonging to another group, but there's nothing.
I AM bridging with Jooma! if that helps..
Thank you so much for your help!
Hi,
I am going through the old unsolved support topics. Is she involved in a secondary membergroup or, maybe, is she actually got some sort of special title that she is using?
