Title: UTF-8 and Umlauts problems only with "realnames"
Post by: SpArKy87 on April 11, 2007, 05:32:48 AM
Hey guys!

I've got a problem with my current SMF Install! I'm using the Babylon Theme and german-utf8 as language file! So far so good. Everything works perfectly, Umlauts are shown properly only the realnames like "Rühl" or "Gräf" don't work!!!!

Everywhere else Umlauts are not a problem... I checked the database via phpmyadmin and they all have the same collation "utf8_general_ci" and the entries in the smf_members table are also correct! When I open the smf_members with phpmyadmin I can see the proper Umlauts!!

Somebody an Idea?

Thanks so much!

Greez,
Oli

The only thing Would be that the page itself isn't UTF-8

When you view source. Do you see:
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" />
