a user of mine find a loophole in SMF.
he managed to post his link by double spacing his url
example. w w w . y o u r s i t e . c o m
tried to use the censored word function but it doesn't work.
any solutions ?
this is not really a loophole.
each letter is treated as a different word. much like this whole sentence is a string of different words.
spacing URL's will break the URL from linking, most of the time, anyways, unless he got creative and made each letter a link like:
l (http://mydomain.com) o (http://mydomain.com) l (http://mydomain.com)
sorry i will made myself clear again.
the 'censored words' function does not censor words with 'double space' in between.
even though i've input it and save. The censored words with double space still appears in posted message and also message preview.
i want to ban the whole sentence together. not just the link.
the link ban works fine as per normal.
Of course, the minute you ban with two spaces, people will just put in three, or alternate spaces. I'll take a look at this when I get back if no one else has figured it out by then.

better than he's now spamming all over my board with just 2 spaces..
still no solution yet...
Ban the user?
I'll look as soon as I have time, unless someone else can look into it before I can (*poke others*).
still no solution ?
