Title: RSS feed for Podcast only, not Forum - ?
Post by: Shellius on April 19, 2007, 08:49:57 AM
I'm trying to use SMF Blogger  (beta so far)  to offer a podcast within my SMF forum.  I want the podcast to be on a RSS feed just for the podcast, coming off the SMF blog that I'm using. When I burn a feed using the page that the blog is on, using Feedburner.com, it puts the forum entries in the feed, not the podcasts (audio).  Does anyone do this, is there any easier way to do this, and why can't I get my audio files in the RSS feed instead of the forum posts?  If anything, I want the blog posts in the feed, not the forum posts.  Feedburner burns the feed just fine and gives me no error messages, but it won't pick up the mp3 files from the Forum address I'm giving it, (which points directly to the main blog page in the forum).

Luckily I don't need to figure this out for a couple of months, but I'm wondering if anyone else does this successfully!

You can adjust the link in the index.template.php to point specifically to the board that contains the podcase... Will that work? "Podcasts" (as a board...) Maybe?
