Title: Can an import REVERT back to an old installation?
Post by: NayNay on October 10, 2004, 11:24:42 AM
I converted my IPB2 forums over to SMF lastnight.

I woke up this morning to find that the conversion....was gone.   I had to re-convert this morning.  What am I doing wrong?  What am I not deleting....  What's going on?   >:(

Thanks in advance,

Nana

:o That shouldn't happen. Did anyone restore an older version of your website or database?

Indeed, I don't see how this could happen? Assuming you deleted the converter off (Very very important) then it could only be someone doing it from phpmyadmin etc.

Check with your host, in situations like these, it's possible there was a problem with the server and your host restored from a backup (done before your conversion).

Ah ha!   I *just* got an email from my host telling me that they moved me to a new server overnight.  SO nice of them to tell me in advance.  I thought I was loosing my mind.  (I didn't figure that that could happen, I at least know that much  :P)

Thanks for the replies.
