You are my favorite theme author. Sometimes, I used the codes in your templates, and modifed them to get new designs resembling yours. However, I am not cheating any more. I am happy to see your new works. I believe you did another great work. Thanks,

I like this theme and would probably install it, but it seems as if it would be hard on the eyes at one point to view or read, but it could be just me. NONETHELESS. Great job.

I saw the code and I think waht's most impressive is that almost everything in layout is based on CSS.

If you knock-out style.css then it's like a lo-fi version... this is great since it allows to apply different styles very easily just by using CSS.

Hey very well done =) This is wonderful!

[1] But i discovered a problem ... Using the SEARCH function via that black bar on top-right will allways result in an "You have not entered a search term" ... and you get redirected to the index.php?action=search2 page. Shouldn´t you see the search-results directly instead of that redirect to index.php?action=search2 page

[2] EDIT: Recognized another problem: Depends on screen resolution ... Visible at 1024x768 ... Avatars cover the texts in the postings (see image).

[3] ... and also recognized, that the "New Button" (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/Themes/smsite/images/english/new.gif) is missing .... can it be integrated again?

Is there a fix for it ?

Thanks in advance and keep up the awesome work ;)

Really nice Theme !!!

But my forum use the german language pack and when i want reply any topic i will become strange messages (see screenshot). When i change my language to english, in my profile, then it will work.

Test the Orange-lt Theme too, there i have the same messages and the same message when i create a new topic. In smooth-lt it will only happen when i answer an topic.

It would really nice if you can fix that.

the avatar space is limited. you need to set resize options in your settings

Quoteand also recognized, that the "New Button"  is missing .... can it be integrated again?
there is a new.gif included. but you can easily overwrite it if you like.

QuoteBut my forum use the german language pack and when i want reply any topic i will become strange messages (see screenshot). When i change my language to english, in my profile, then it will work.

I've checked both themes. And I am afraid I am not able to reproduce this. Never heard of this problem (there are many out there using orange-lt with german language...)
Did you change any theme files? Did you install any MODs? Does this only happen in my themes?

Title: Re: sMooth-lt
Post by: iso on November 07, 2007, 08:41:16 AM
Have you checked it with firefox? I noticed that it only happens when i use firefox. We have no mods installed and doesn't change anythink in the theme and yes it only happens with your Themes and german language pack active.

Looks like that the theme tried to load anythink from the reply messages that normaly shown under the "post reply box".

Edit: Test on another host, there it will work .. really strange. :/

Maybe your current host does not meet the system requirements for SMF or your SMF install went wrong.

Hi Sloop.
I am going to use your theme as my main theme. I have a portal integrated on it. There were also lots of mods on it. However, I didn't change anything. Those mods are on default theme, and chages some source files. I am using your fresh template files in the package. However, something is wrong. I tired to change source files, but couldn't see what the problem is. I don't have much time to look at the codes deeply. Maybe, you know the answer. Can you check this page to see the problem? Then, maybe you have an idea to fix it. Thanks
Here is the adress to see the problem. I appricate your help.
www.etkiweb.com/forum/index.php?theme=22
It is working on my testing board.
www.etkiweb.com/deneme/index.php?theme=74

EDIT: Ok, I got it. I am sorry for my silly question. Ignore it. The board's appearance was shifting to the right. Just need to add modifications.(yourlanguage).php in language after translating his modifications.english.php. I thought I could use my file without looking what is inside. This theme is wonderful. However, to modify it, its needs a professional smf coder :) You may get too many questions if they want to apply mods. I will try to apply the mods, and try to help you if I have an idea.

It's how HTML was always meant to be. Google it.

Google the word supercilious, and it describes you. On another note, this theme is excellent, and I must say I love the design. Only positive thoughts in my mind, a couple of bugs is normal, and are expected of such a great template. nice work!

QuoteYou may get too many questions if they want to apply mods
I try to figure out how to create "MOD install packages" for my themes. So you only have to install the mod under default theme and the install packages to add the needed code to my themes.
Will take some time... 8)

Quotecan you explain how to integrate the fancy menu bar into other themes?
You may want to take a look at this blog (http://devthought.com/cssjavascript-true-power-fancy-menu/) post to get a better idea how the fancy menu is created.

yea, i looked at it, but i dont know where to add the stuff. and, since you did it, you know where to put the stuff, so could you make a tutorial on how to do it?
Title: Re: sMooth-lt

copy the javascript codes after uploading their js.files in your theme. Also look at the css file so that you can see what images fancy menu, and  main menu use. Then copy them in your theme too. Next, use the whole script for the menu from [home] to [members]
By the way, thank you Panic for this menu. I used it for my html template. Here it is if you just want to see how it is nice. This is the best theme. It defeats all of my themes. I have created 20 themes integrated on my forum, most are not submitted here. However, my 2000 members much more loved your theme   ;D Me too.
Here is the html file using the fancy menu twice. My webpage (http://www.etkiweb.com)
Thank you very much for releasing this theme. By the way, I saw that there was one </div> code missing in index.teplate (I guess, to be honest I forgot where was it, but maybe boardindex.template) then the xhtml validator gave 1 error. It should be somewhere in the middle. I added that one, but I forgot to tell you.XHTML validator will show you where it is. You know that better than me. About the modifications, it has only 4 files to modify. Hence, it shouuldn't be hard. However, nobody shouldn't look for well known classifications in css such as windowbg, catbg. You defined every place in css. Hence, to modify it, they have to read carefully your css :) Then it is making easier to apply mods.

Hi Panic,

I love your theme and would like to use it on my forum, but there are a few things on my mind:

1. On narrow browser width, the left column overlap to the right column. It happens both in board forum view and topic view.

2. In board view, the "Go Up"   and "Go Down" buttons are reversed.

3. In topic view, "Previous" and "Next" are missing.

4. The color contrast is quite glaring on LCD screen.

5. May I request for a green theme to replace the blue theme?

Thanks for the  fabulous design.

Great theme and nicely put together padexx..

but, i am having the same problems as both screen shot posts in this themes thread here.

with a fresh download and install just now with this version.

I have my avatars already set to resize and when i resize my window my text overlaps the members info table / section and default pic like in the screen shot..

Is there a fix for this yet ??

Thanks for any and all help with it :)
