Title: Session ID in URL
Post by: tgeddes on October 22, 2007, 12:46:55 AM
Hi
A frew days ago I upgraded smf from from 1.05 to 1.14 and now users are having intermittent problems logging on - getting FORBIDDEN access messages. I emailed my webhost support who tell me the problem is with session IDs being displayed in the URL. I have tried enabling "search engine friendly URLS" but that has not resolved the issue.
Is there some way I can disable session IDs from being displayed in the URL? This issue is crippling my forum.
Thanks
Trevor

I just read the post about inserting a .htaccess script on the server.
First indications are that this has solved the problem!
I'll report back if I have further problems.
