Title: Modified messages to show as new post

SMF Version: SMF 1.1.4
How can I get my SMF 1.1.4 to show modified posts as new posts?
I mean, if I edit my post it would show as totally new post.

You can't.  Why don't you just create a new post and delete the other one.  But I guess you just want to not have the 'edit by' displayed.  There are a number of mod to over come this.  From not displaying the edit note for Admin/mods to allowing Admins to delete the edit by line.  You can also turn off the whole feature in your AdminCP.

There is no feature for this; you would have to create a new message.

No, that's not my point. I just want people notice that I have modified my message again in front page.

Other kind of forums have an option called "Bump" between the mod's options. If you click that, it will make the topic look like it had a new post. That could be useful . . . maybe as a mod . . .

Well, it sounds like it would be a lot of a problem to make such a mod, but it would be nice ;D

I don't think it would be difficult; rather, I think no-one finds this request interesting or useful enough to make a mod for it.
