Title: Deleting one specific thread in a topic
Post by: KE6IRJ on January 08, 2008, 01:04:54 PM
Okay, I search, but no luck.  We have one thread on a topic that seems to have been corrupted somehow.  I am trying to delete that whole thread, but not the entire topic.  I can't seem to find a way to do that in the administration panel, and I have no knowledge of the table structure, so how do I delete JUST that thread?

The thread is on our forum, under the group Event Topics!!!

Follow Up Pictures and reports

the thread I want to delete is "W.E. Rock 1/6/08"

It will not open for anyone, so Ican't get to the delete thread button.

You're being a bit confusing in your terms... a topic is the same as a thread.  A board contains topics, and topics contain posts.  So do you wish to remove the topic?

Also, I looked on your board but could find no such topic, can you provide a link to it?

Sorry, I wanted to delete the topic, it is done now, but is there a way to delete a topic other than the "remove topic" button on the bottom of it?

When this topic was corrupted, it would not open so I could get to that button... does that make sense?

If you have quick moderation enabled, little checkboxes or icons (whichever you choose in your Look and Layout preferences in your profile) will show up on the message index page, which will allow you to perform operations on topics without actually going into the topic itself, such as deleting, locking, sticky and moving.
