This modification moved only recent posts from bottom to the top under news fader. You shout turn on the news fad to appear it.
In the version 1.1 you are not need to turn on news fad, recent posts above news fad table. if you do not want news fad use version 1.1.
For other themes, find boardindex.template.php and do it manual see install file

Now I have update for version 1.0 and 2.0. Both now look better than before. Removed the one forum link unnecessary at the top of recent posts table.
version1.0 for people use news fad on
version2.0 for people use news fad off

This mod will move only recent posts from the bottom board to the top of board in default theme.
For other themes, please read install file and do it by manual modification.

Hi,
If you have fail to install that mean your default/BoardIndex.template.php has been modified. You can install new SMF to check first. If you have modified your boardIndex.php, you can see the install file to do it by manual. Good luck.
This is a great mod... but I'd like to make it collapsible for board members who would rather not see it.
Is there any way we can have it collapsible (and have the forum remember if a particular member has it collapsible)?
I'm using the default theme.
Are the recents posts visible only on the front page or are they also visible when the user is reading a thread ?

Tiny portal has the option for center blocks, if i'm not mistaken Tinyportal has option for recent posts block which you can place in the center

I would like to install this mod in the silentwave theme but can not find where to place it. It does not have the boardindex file only the indextemplate but I can not find where to do the MODs. Any suggestions?

@primetime, I figured it out!
I use silent wave too...a personally modded version of it...but in any case it should work for yours too...
I use smf version 1.1.11 but theoretical this should work on any supporting version.
To be honest I was sitting in the bathroom being disappointed that this mod did not work on silent wave...
Then I remembered that the silent wave theme had no coding whatsoever for the recent posts in the index.template file...
I had a though and an idea... what if the silent wave theme was using parts of files from the default theme so theres less coding???
I got what I wanted...
Here's the solution:
Download the right version of the mod for your smf version. Then set the forum theme to the default theme. Install and apply the mod,
then make sure it works. Once you are done and it works on the default theme, switch back to the silent wave theme. That's it. pretty simple and should work
