Title: Thai / English text disply problems
Post by: Kimbo on March 14, 2008, 12:24:56 AM
Hi Forum.

I have recently installed SMF. We need to run both Thai and English script on posts. We want the overall system in English, only the ability to include Thai text in the posts and messages.

We are running MySQL 4.1.22-standard
SMF 1.1.4
PHP 4.4.3

I have installed the Thai UTF-8 language pack.
I have set users to that language.
And I have used the Admin-Maintenance-Convert html to utf-8

And still all we get when somebody writes in Thai is lots of frowning-smileys and plenty question marks.

Any idea anybody? What I am doing wrong?

Website is www samuiairsoftgun com / forum

The thread where I am testing is "More Thai Language Testing from Kimbo" in GENERAL DISCUSSION area.

Any help would be greatly appreciated and would be rewarded with a few cold beers and a complmentary shoot out when you come to Koh Samui in Thailand!

Cheers and (hopefully) Thanks in Advance.

Daniel the language dude has offered assistance on this one.

When that is done (or not) I shall report back here for others, later, who may search for similar issues and resolutions.

Cheers All!  8)
