Hello,
well it's easy to explain what my problem is, but probabbly difficult to fix.
When I'm in my administrator panel and I wanna go to my Packages, I should just click on the link "Packages" right? Well it doesn't work, a 100% white page opens up.
What can I do to fix it? Update my database? Or..?
By the way, I had that same problem with my SMF 1.1.4, that's why I decided to update my SMF to the 2.0 Beta 3 (maybe that would fix my problem). but it didn't, so it has nothing to do with SMF itself.
I will really appreciate any kind of help,
thanks!
anyone please?
help is really appreciated.
Hi
First off is it a clean install or an upgrade? What else does not work?
Second, have you checked permissions on the host?
Bob
Ehm well, first I thought it was an empty upgrade, since it worked perfect.
But now I realise many options in my administrator panel are not working.
For example, I see empty slots were I can't change or do anything.
It's pretty annoying. Do you think I should try re-upgrading?
You said it wasn't working in 1.1.4 either, so that does not seem to be necessary at the moment. Did you have the exact same probs in 1.1.4 ie options missing in the admin control panel?
Nope, the only problem I still have in SMF 2.0 is the package one. Before, my admin panel was complete, now it isn't.
The "empty slots" are probably due to language files. Re-upload the entire Themes/default folder and make sure all the files are getting overwritten.
As for the package issue - are there any errors in your forum or server error log related to packages?
Okay,
I'll check that out.
thanks!
You beat me to it Oldiesmann :)
Well done :)
I still appreciate your help. It was as useful as his.
;)
yes well, that was the problem... everything stoped working with smf 2.0 since it's a new release, and just a few mods have compatible versions for it.
my mkportal and language pack was not working, so now i'm in the process of a downgrade to 1.14 again.
