Title: E107 and SMF bridge help
Post by: SgtMic on June 10, 2008, 02:11:39 PM
My head hurts from searching.   :'(

I'm using SMF 1.1.5 and E107. I nstalled the bridge (unwrapped) and it seems to work fine. From the main page, I can click on forums and it takes me there.
They were installed with their own databases. The SMF has been around for awhile.

In theory, I (and other users) should be able to login through E107 using the same user and pass as I (we) have setup in SMF without creating new user accounts in E107. But that is not the case.
I'm not sure exactly how to set this up. I've seen threads about combining DB and etc.

Correct, it is not yet the case.  I haven't written the alt_auth method for e107 in the beta bridge.

If the users login on the bridged forum, they will be transferred to e107.

Your bridged forum is here:
