Was wondering if you had blank menu buttons that go with the themes. We could name them as things are placed on the sites. ie: forum, chat, etc.

Also was wondering how to change the logo and place a swf banner there if it's possible.

Still a great theme mod!!

Thx!

Which button do you exactly want?

You can cahange your logo with replace logo.gif in images folder

and you can make your logo settings in style.css
#logo {
    position: absolute;
    top: 12px;
    left: 0;
    display: block;
    width: 300px;
    height: 100px;
    background: url('images/logo.gif') no-repeat;
    cursor: pointer
}

for swf banner.. take a look at these...

TY HCM, was looking for buttons: Forum, Banlist, Chat

Trying to get the smf arcade jeza skin to appreciate this theme. I keep getting an error and also working with jeza, the creator of jeza arcade skin. The two together would be awesome.

We are talking about "blues" not "blues mega color" you are in wrong topic :)

images are here..
Themes/blues/images/english

but, you should change your folder name like this

Themes/blues/images/english-utf8

They have finished.
Banlist button is not necessary, you can create a simple link for that in userarea..
also there is no room anymore for that button.

Hello,
i it's a great work, so there is a color for, i think, everyone!
One problem is after the installation of your theme, there are not alle colors avaible as in the description / images of you. I installled bluesmcmod1 and bluesmcmod2 as packages.

Versions:
SMF Version: SMF 1.1.5
SMF-bridge to Joomla! : 2.0.2

I'd like to have the buttons translated in german, because it's a german board i have, so the translated buttons are:

Admin -> Admin (or -> Administration) --  Calendar-> Kalender  --  Help -> Hilfe  --  Home -> Startseite  (or Home)  --  Login - > Einloggen  --  Logout -> Ausloggen  --  Members -> Mitglieder  --  My Messages -> Nachrichten (or -> Meine Nachrichten)  --  Profile -> Profil  --  Register -> Registrieren  --  Search -> Suche (or -> Suchen)

Thanks,
Woody
(Yes, my english is not well, sorry ;))

Well, i think the file here at simplemachines.org should be updated ;)
I took the theme from your blog (google helps *g*) and after a reinstall (delete the old one and install the new one) - all the colors are there!
Looks awesome ;)

I think i can take the login at the toplogo out by myself (i hope so).
Can the images be displayed in two rows? E.g. one for the guests and another one under it for the members and admins? I have ~820 pixel width for the forum, there's on the left the Joomla!-menu and, fif i'm logged in, one button is under the other and destroys the layout)
But, a little error is still there, it's an error of my bridge, it writes the credits of the brige to the normal credits. How can i format the credits?

Here's a screenshot:

Hi woody, thaks for your comment.
I will make the german buttons as soon as possible.
Please do not edit theme width, well then ofcourse destroys the layout.
Can you give me the site link?

The buttons already inside the theme.
You are using utf-8 language strings.
So must change your "english" folder name to "english-utf8"
Thanks for the comment.

Edit: by the way..
don't forget to upload other images..

I am using 1.1.6 and and just installed this theme.  It looks great but the buttons for "Home", "Help", "Search" etc. are not showing up.  I found all of these buttons in there respective color in a folder called "english" so they are there, but they are not showing up on the net.

Click on the thumbnail below for a bigger image:

hi .. absolutely love the theme and have it installed as my main theme on the site.

one thing a lot of my members have mentioned though is that it's no longer obvious anywhere on the screen if you have any new PM's ..

i know there's a mod to allow a pop up window that informs you, but is there an easy fix that I could maybe add - maybe in the top right corner where it has a link to show unread posts.

Maybe the link could be installed underneath that ?? something like

You have (X) New Messages & (Y) Read Messages

Any suggestions would be most welcome and thanks again for such an amazing theme :)

Because modifications only affect default theme
You must use Package Parser and add codes manually to index.template.php (bluesmc)

I posted the same question and am using the mod you are talking about: http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=264233.msg1725059#msg1725059

I also looked at the mod that Hoochie Coochie Man posted and PM Informer: http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=1202

Those are 1-button installs as a mod package for the default theme.  Not sure if I have the nerve to change the files, but I guess I could make a copy before I modify them on the server.  If I make a mistake would it lock the forum up?

Only one thing though, why does it not tell you when you have a PM?

You can set it from theme settings

First of all i want to say how amazing this theme is, I LOVE IT! I have just started tinkering with it and realized that do do even the smallest task required a long time copying and pasting so each color theme is right.

Is there a way to only enter information once and have it work on every color? For example the menubar does not work on half of my colors. My off.gif and new_some.gif and the others dont even work on half.

thanks!

Let me refrase my question

Quote// If the board is new, show a strong indicator.
            if ($board['new'])
               echo '<img src="', $settings['images_url'], '/'. $settings['theme_main_color']. '/green2.jpg" alt="', $txt[333], '" title="', $txt[333], '" />';
            // This board doesn't have new posts, but its children do.
            elseif ($board['children_new'])
               echo '<img src="', $settings['images_url'], '/'. $settings['theme_main_color']. '/green1.png" alt="', $txt[333], '" title="', $txt[333], '" />';
            // No new posts at all! The agony!!
            else
               echo '<img src="', $settings['images_url'], '/'. $settings['theme_main_color']. '/green2.jpg" alt="', $txt[334], '" title="', $txt[334], '" />';

How do I change that code to make it so that it works for every color instead of just 'theme_main_color'?

Sorry for the cornocopia of questions but you created such an amazing theme that it deserves a few.

1) After the dark green color theme, the rest do not show the linktree icons. It was like this when I installed the theme. Will there be an update to fix this or is there an easy code you can give me to make it work?

2) SMF Media Gallery tab is not supported by this theme. How do I still use it when the icon in the link tree is no longer there?

Thanks again and probably more questions to come in the near future,
Harry

@mrbolsonator

Change your "english" folder name into english-utf8

After, download other_images.zip then upload those numbers to your images folder

Example:
http://fuelcrazyamerica.com/Themes/bluesmegacolor/images/35
http://fuelcrazyamerica.com/Themes/bluesmegacolor/images/40
http://fuelcrazyamerica.com/Themes/bluesmegacolor/images/45
http://fuelcrazyamerica.com/Themes/bluesmegacolor/images/50
http://fuelcrazyamerica.com/Themes/bluesmegacolor/images/55
ect..

Then you find english file change every one of them name into english-utf8

You must learn some paint or photoshop, and must change the name of button. Button is an image.

Changing the picture I can do, the problem I am having is changing the button code so that it redirects the user to the smf media gallery page instead of the smf gallery.

I currently have it installed on 1.1.7 and have no problems.

I hope you do at some point reconsider making it 2.0 compatible.  :)

I installed this theme and uploaded the other images to the folder images. I also uploaded each one into the numbers. I also changed the english folder to english-utf8. However I am still not getting all the buttons to work.

I saw where you posted this, where do I put this file name, I just extracted the files and uploaded them one at a time into each folder. Is that way ok, or did I do it wrong?

extract other_images.zip
and upload those numbers to your images folder.
Direct must be like this:
bluesmegacolor/images/(numbers)

Where is this suppose to be? bluesmegacolor/images/(numbers)

We are just in love with this theme and we are really trying to understand how to make it work completely. Thank you for your help.

It's great theme, but I have a problem....since on both of m computers (normal screen and wide) I see everything fine, I don't know why some members on my forum are saying it cuts their profile space. I added tinyportal but in my case everything shrinked "smartly", and some are saying their spac is cut....here is example: and it looks to long, even though their avatars are uploaded and resized. It looks strange but since I don't have this problem I don't know what to change?

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

Great theme!

Would like to know If I'm able to get the raw Photoshop or Illustrator files for the navigation images. I'd like to add 2 customized buttons, and would like to keep the look and feel the same across all the buttons.

Regards,

I don't think the main navigation buttons were done with PSDs, they look like they were out of a clip-art library or something.

Can I replace the logo with a flash or gif animation?
