SMF could support a tag cloud shich shows the most opften used search words.

Would make a nice mod.
Not sure about as a default feature. A bit bloatish.

There would also be privacys issues. (Search terms used should be private)
There would also need to be pre-approval of search terms to avoid bad people filling the cloud with bad words

it has been year started this thread..just wanted to ask is there any mod for showing tag cloud in smf

There is this mod (http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=579) that allows you to tag topics and produce a tag cloud from it.

Better than searching IMO since that's content you have, versus what users are searching (which wouldn't be hard to spam up with rude words etc)

  Yes, it is working, but it is not possible to put some 2 letters' words as tags like "go" or "lo"... Do you know why?

Yes, the auto suggest doesn't kick in until 3 letters. If you want to change that, ask in the "Support and comments for this mod" since it's the mod that needs changing.

I hope its ok that I brought this thread back to life.
On to the issue i am having.
I tried to install on my forum, and I got a bunch of error msgs while doing the install. It was suggested that I dont continue.
i really want to get more search engine traffic and I feel for some reason that a tag cloud will help it. I am open to other suggestions, but here are the error msgs.

A tag cloud wont do anything for search engine indexing.

Ok, thanks for the info. However. that does not change the fact that I cant use this mod. I guess this might be for internal forum related searches only. So I will keep looking on the SEO board then.
