i hope in next release ;)
new permission for user:
Can see board on index: (view all boards only in home)
Can view Boards: (entering in to board but view only titles of threads)
Can view threads: (user can see the topic's text)
etc...
8)
(ps, the first it's possible with a mod, but i think that it must be in admin options)
kind of like phpbb's option that can make a board not visible, but the user can see a post if you link them to it? :)
No! if a user/group of users not have the perm. to read a post they don't view anything..
but i think that: "Display Topic Title, But Not The Content" is a good feature!!!
This way, it encourage more guests to register the forum, because they know what they able to discuss in a forum.
i think that for the feature request, nobody consider it for next release. :'(
to not let guests see certain sections
just set the forums you want hidden from guests...to LOCAL...and then uncheck the GUEST from the list....
save.,....
and presto...they will not be able to see any of these forums until they register or log in with existing accounts...

I am not sure where I saw it, I would check the tips and tricks board :-X
I not found it :(
maybe you saw 'allow guest to view hide board..'
it's different that 'allow guest to view only titles of thread in a board'
Hmm Maybe check out Guests only can see topic titles (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=22043.msg175899#msg175899)
i not found it because the word is "topictitles" but I've search "topic titles" :)
ok.. thank... i hope that this feature will be in next release (manage in admin and in database for each board)
