Looks like a path association problem.

Try downloading repair_settings.php (http://www.simplemachines.org/download/index.php?thanks;filename=repair_settings.php) and uploading it to your main SMF folder. Then navigate to it and click the default values.

Upload repair_settings.php tool as mentioned above. Navigate to the url such as:

e.g http://www.yoursite.com/forum/repair_settings.php

Then, hit the save to record your changes and your images should show up again.

Don't forget to read the online docs (http://docs.simplemachines.org/) for more info.

What's happening is it's not picking up the CSS for what ever reason. You may need to go to Admin > Themes and layout > Themes and settings and make sure the URLs are correct. if not on the bottom you should try to reset them. If that does not work click on the NAME of the theme and edit the urls.

Also check the CSS exists ;).
forum directory >  Themes > your theme
