I just recently have set up a forum using Geeklog, but I'm thinking on switching over to SM. I like the features and especially the fact that it seems more easily customizable. Has anyone here done this type of switch and have any advice pros or cons, should i stick with what I have, or?
I really don't have anything done in the extreme on my Geeklog install so trashing it is no big deal.

While a conversion is possible nobody has yet written a geeklog converter.
You can request a converter on our converter request's (http://support.simplemachines.org/converter_request.php) page. I see there is already an active request for "PortalPart Forum plugin for Geeklog" although I'm not sure if this is the same forum that you're using. If it is you can add yourself to the list of people requiring this converter which will hopefully help boost its priority. Otherwise please go ahead and start a new request.
