Host upgraded to PHP 4.3.10 and Zend v2.5.7 yesterday (after an 8-hr period before upgrading the Zend and the board was totally down).
Now I'm getting lots of reports from members that:
-passwords are not accepted and they can't log in
-when they request a pswd notification via email, they don't receive any email
-passwords will work for logging in and out but not for changing the Profile
-logging out simply doesn't log them out at all, they remain logged in
Is there a utility or any tips for checking what's up with this? What files should I check? What settings? Cookie-related? Should I change the name of the cookie entirely and have everyone log in afresh?
Much appreciated!
This is probably related to the cookie issues (which I am accutely aware I need to get back to you on) right? So it's just that one issue, I hope?

Whoo hoo, it's [Unknown] in the [flesh]! Yes, I'm not sure it's even related to the upgrade at all. I took all the extra js fontresizer widget stuff out, and my cookie settings are now checked as global, subdomain-independent, no meta, which is the standard 'usually correct' config, right? I renamed the cookie.
The widget removal cleared lots up, but folks are still complaining of getting logged out even after selecting "forever," so alas it's not totally related to the widget interference. I've plastered them with notices to "delete cookies/clean cache" and check their spyware removal software settings.
I know this cookie stuff has been a problem for lots o' folks, and not just on SMF (googled and found numerous threads on pHbb or invision or other forums on same issue). I'm thinking it's a murky combo-platter of:
1.spyware settings
2.cookie/cache cleaning, and
3.possibly the upgraded PHP issues? or just server-dependent glop?
, and not resolvable with one answer. I'll holler again if members give me more details; otherwise I'd rather waste your valuable time on my resizer widget questions in the other thread. :)
