Hey guys .. Im getting this message on my site [im new at all this stuff] I was wondering if you all could point me in the right direction as to how to fix it
Right when I log on it says at the top of the site "The default theme directory is wrong, please correct it by clicking this text"
How do I fix this issue?
go to Themes and Layout >> Themes and Settings >> at the base click reset all themes.
then i get this message ... Unable to load Themes/default/Errors.template.php!
and now it wont let me do anything pretty much i just keep getting that error message
As I was looking it says in all the themes directorys "warning this path is not correct."
Have you recently moved your forum to another directory on your server or something?
Please use the Modify option in this forum, it just makes the people think its spam.
Yea well godaddy had messed some stuff up and they did most of that but yea i think it switched directorys.. where do i get that info to upgrade the directory information?
maybe repair_settings.php (or whatever it's called). Just guessing.
May I see your site, btw?
now since i did that reset thing im unable to access my admin part to change anything.. so i have no clue what to do now..
www.rgv4cyl.net
This dosn't look good.
Where's the SMF team where you need them...
nope and now im freaking out.. I cant access anything. Im new at this and dont know how to fix it.. I cant access any of my admin control panel.. Wow, this sux..
The site is blank btw. Did you give the right URL?
yupp thats the right one.
What about replacing your index.php whit the standard one that you get when downloading SMF?
But backup the current one first, we don't want more problems now.
its always messy with godaddy. I always like cpanel 11 as my hosting s/w.. Hope i learn all the options soon in there.. ;)
Solved !
What solved it?
the chmod for index.php wasnt 777. hence it wasnt recognizing it. Then i went via repair_settings.php and it wouldnt let me fix the errors. So i went to settings.php and made it 777, fixed the paths via repair_settings.php and then it was all done. ;)
F.L.A.M.E.R has been a lifesaver yet again for me! Thanks so much for helping me out again! I thought I had totally ruined the site but he has it back to normal..
