Title: Possible hack?
Post by: Zombie on February 02, 2005, 07:59:22 PM
Here is the lowdown.
I had a guest on my forum, so I tracked the IP by clicking the IP through who is online.

It came back as member "cramil".  I didn't recongize that member so I clicked on the name to bring up the profile.  My profile came up!

I tried to track that name through the memberlist. Just as I thought, there is no member named "cramil".

WTF!  Am I getting hacked?  Ip address is 209.95.34.170

HELP!!!!

Strange.  Are you using the latest version of SMF?

It doesn't really sound like you're getting hacked; why are you so worried?

Anyone have any ideas?   ::)

The IP addy is incoming from a "winfield wireless".  My concern is that  it shows that IP addy for a poster by the name of cramil, but I don't have a member named cramil.

This is disturbing!
Is is a securtiy issue or a bug of some kind?

Maybe they registered, but then deleted themselves?
