Title: No upload function on SMF 2.0.4
Post by: vivekm on October 28, 2008, 12:32:04 PM
I had some very rare problems on SMF 1.1.6 version which was installed directly from fantastico, inspite of some friendly SMF supporters I was unable to solve the issue, so I decided to upgrade SMF 1.1.6 to 2.0.4 expecting it might solve the problem but it didnt either.

The problem is that there is no upload function at all on my SMF 2.0.4 forum, so I am unable to upload any mods.

Is there any way i can resolve this bug, by manuall editing or installing some mods manually.Pls help.

Or is it better to install a new SMF 2.0.4 and transfer all data's to the new one from the old one, if so how to do it.

PLs have a look of my forum upload page looks, pls help, thanks

Does the problem occur in the default theme?

Are there any errors in your error log? (It looks like you might have some strings missing)
Are all your files up-to-date? (See: Admin area > Support and Credits > More Detailed)

The default theme is the one that was the default when you installed SMF.

Sounds like you're not using a 2.0 compatible theme, and/or out of date language files.

Yes my theme looks not supportive to 2.0.4, I upgraded my forum from 1.1.6 to 2.0.4, so can somebody suggest me a compatible theme, since most theme I tired is having some problem.

Since I upgraded my old default theme is not comaptible with 2.0.4, and I have no other theme as well.

Did you upload all the files correctly? Try re-uploading Themes / default from an install archive.

This will also re-upload the language files which look like they may be broken

What is the default server language you are using on your forum?  English or english-utf8?

Those older files are either from incompatible mods or obsolete files.  Those older 3 Public beta files you might want to override from the download 4 package.
