Title: Registering New Members
Post by: rdavy on November 26, 2008, 12:49:56 PM
Hi,
If I register a member via the admin centre, is it different from the person registering from the forum register area?
I am seeing a different layout than the one described in the 'online manual'. The extra 'bit' is the fact that if I register the person via the admin centre, it appears that he/she has full admin rights(?)(The admin tab appears, yet the manual states that a guest will no see that!)

thanks

can you post a screenshot from it? the permissions are set by selecting the "Primary Membergroup:"..
this should be "(no primary membergroup)" by default.

This is the top row (tabs) that appears. So are you saying that is I select - no primary membergroups - the admin tab should not appear?

The admin tab is only visible for Group "Administrator" by default. When creating a new member from within the Admin-Center - Registration - you should see a window similar to my attachment.  When selecting "no primary group" the user is in default group "members" and should not see the Admin tab.
