Title: importing data from 1.1.5 to clean install of 1.1.7
Post by: openinteractive on December 16, 2008, 01:51:41 AM
i search the boards, and found some similar posts, but none with any real guidance.

i have an active forum site using v1.1.5 and am developing a new version 1.1.7 of the site in a dev directory. I want to import users, user profiles, user posts and most of my configurations from 1.1.5.
is there a way to do this?

thanks in advance.

yes
please make a copy of your active forum (1.1.5)
make a new database and imorte your active database tables on it
upload and run repair_settings.php (look at my sign)
upload large upgrade on it and run upgrade.php
Done
