I have a fresh and new install of SMF 2 and I get the error "The requested identifier did not return the proper information." Whenever I try to use OpenID authentication (I tried with a "testuser" account so it is non-admin) Please help me

Who is the openid provider?
Hi,
I have the same problem.
As Provider I used Blogger (http://x.blogspot.com/) and MyOpenID (http(s)://x.myopenid.com/)
I'm sure, that one of those (I guess it was myopenid.com) worked already in an earlier version of SMF 2
I'm going to mark this as solved. While it isn't, we're aware of the problem and hopefully this will be fixed in RC2 :)

It still gives me the same error message when I try to login with a x.blogspot.com URL on RC2
The bug I linked to is still not marked as being fixed :)
Not fixed in RC2 - still get an avalanche daily in the error log "The requested identifier did not return the proper information." from index.php?action=login2

Sorry, to clarify my post above while the public bug is fixed, the private one isn't although hopefully will be in time for RC3. From memory I believe the RC2 release announcement made reference to OpenID improvements but I think it was a bit premature :(
Thanks for the clarification H
I've disabled OpenID until a final and full fix is available in 2.0 - it's reduced the error log stress as the errors are not happening now.
