Title: registration error

when ever some one registers on my site they get this error

fsockopen(): php_network_getaddresses: gethostbyname failed 

can some one help me pls i dont know how to fix that thanks inadvance for any help

That means your SMTP settings are incorrect or your mail server is down.

Why did you post this in Portal Developments (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?board=33.0)?

I believe he is using mkportal

yes i am using mkportal i updraded last night thanks guys i will see if i can fix that right away
