Has anybody ever managed to use this BBC -feature table/column/row in some practical way ?

Well we tried, but found it far too hard to use  :

It could be user friendlier, like "ad table 3x3" or something like that ;)

You could create a page where you can generate a table (and where you can fill in the cells :)).
It's an nice idea. I'll try to make a mod for this when a public release will be available. :)

I've used it, but it's far too complicated for 99% of my members to use  :o

well... to use the tags as they are now, the member needs to know html... I've had some members screw up the layout of a thread with them, missing the closing tags and stuff, but I'm sure SMF takes care of that well
