Compatibility

The "XFire Profile Modification" is compatible for both SMF 1.1.X and 2.0. It is mainly developed for SMF 2.0, and will NOT be being further updated for SMF 1.1.X unless a major change is needed.

Features

This modification allows each user to insert their XFire Username in the "Forum Profile" section of their Profile Modification, which will then come up with a small XFire Logo Icon in three places:

• Profile Page
• Memberlist
• Post Profile

Installation

If you already have any other modifications installed on your website that modifies the MemberList, this modification may not work, however it has been tested with a variety of other modifications and works perfectly. The modification has also only been tested on the default theme of SMF; "Core". It should work on all other themes, however hasn't been tested on any.

SMF 1.1.X: Installing this modification for SMF 1.1.X will only edit the template files. For all themes other than the default, just copy the "xfire.gif" file to "/Themes/YourTheme/images" folder.

SMF 2.0: It should install smoothly for SMF 2.0, however you will have to check the checkboxes for each other theme that you want it installed for; "Install In Other Themes" Option when installing the package.

Not happening on Helios-Multi-TP
Using SMF 1.1.10 and TP 1.0.4
So I tried editing the same files for this theme.
Once I uploaded them, the Profile.Template.php being the last, I received error,
cannot load profile above
So the X-Fire field shows on the members profile, but no place to enter the info in your profile, since I replaced the modified Profile.Template with the original.
Guess I can add the old display.template back to the theme also, so it at least looks correct.
I have the custom profile field mod, which might be scewing it up, but I guess I can just add it there also.
Thanks, looks like a good mod and I'll try it again if you have any suggestions.

Can you attach your "profile.template.php" and "display.template.php" files please? The custom profile field mod shouldn't screw with it from what I've seen... I'll try to fix it for yah. And MF30, thanks :D

My xfire icon isn't showing on the memberlist, I looked at the 1.1.10 parse options but it does not have file modifications for sources/memberlist.php.

I got this error when trying to install your xfire mod on 2.0 RC2:

QuoteThe package you are trying to download or install is either corrupt or not compatible with this version of SMF.

Really, it should work. I'll update the package info then, I'll get to it later today.

Like most of this author's mods, he marked them 2.0 RC2 compatible without even testing them.

Please either update (AND test they work) for 2.0 RC2, or unmark it RC2 compatible, thanks.
