When someone posts an error message, at least in 1.1.x, the first thing they're told to do is to disable "eval", to get a correct line number. This manual database operation scares the hell out of a lot of people, and they require lots of hand-holding to get past this operation. Why not put a toggle button in Admin to "Disable Eval"/"Re-enable Eval"? That would save a whole forest of virtual dead trees, and a lot of time. Maybe it could go in "Maintenance" right before "Forum Error Log" (I'm looking at 1.1.x right now).

Excellent idea. I second this as well. Most of the webmasters just start out and as indicated above are terrified of messing with the db and such a feature would very useful for them.

I asked about this a while ago - http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=306930.0
Great idea to turn into a mod...nice work Arantor.
Seconding the OP. The mod is very nice and I will be installing it, but IMO it would go well as a default feature (and yes I know 2.0 is feature-locked but anyway....).
I agree, I think it should be a core feature, and I have yet to understand why it isn't. But in the meantime, we can use this (or even assimilate this straight into the code)
