Good Day all .. LOVING Simple Machines !! ... I'm trying to install a mod and I keep getting;

Unable to connect to the server. Please try using this URL instead.

Ive changed the URL to a number of different URLS found in this forum but to no avail ... I know at one time I could browse mods ( and install them ) from the Package manager ..

I just upgraded to 1.1.10 and now the functionality seems to be gone ... I do however get a very small list of " New Packages" on the browse packages screen.

Any help with this would be GREATLY appreciated !

the best way to install mods is

download mod from http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/ to your pc

teh upload using package manager

then apply to install

Package Manager (http://docs.simplemachines.org/index.php?board=49.0;sort=subject)

After doing this in the SQL Tab

UPDATE smf_package_servers SET `url` = 'http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/';

Then the packages started showing up again ! ( please note the added /mods .. it is not there in the thread I posted )
