You should edit redirect to board icon. And some admin_menu style already definded in stlyle.css but you add dropmenu.css in css folder.
Whatever nicely theme.

I love this theme, and several of my members do as well, however, it is cramming my error log up with several hundred pages of errors per day. It is the same 4 errors, repeating for every member and every action each user does.  Here are the 4 errors. I xxx-d out my server details of course. :)

Sorry Shortie, I found one more small thing. The theme copyright now says "Bubble Trouble" instead of "Pixel Perfect".   :)

I edited mine, so it is ok. I used the download for just the 2 files you posted here, so I am not sure if the edited files on the main theme download page are the same or not.

Hi there, this theme looks good on my laptop, 15.4" screen 1024 x 768 resolution, the only issue being that the nav menu doesn't drop down like it is supposed to but I can live with that.

The issue I have is with my desktop, 19" screen, 1280 x 1024 resolution, the Info area breaks out of the left hand side and pushes the avatar across to the side, the nav links are so far away from the menu link that I can't move my mouse there fast enough to click on them, and they are way out of alignment.

It happens on my live forum, a test forum I setup just now to specifically test this theme and also on your test forum.

I am using IE7 on XP on my desktop and IE8 on my laptop

Another forum Admin said he had the same issues using Opera

Some screenshots to show you what I mean,
Logged in: http://i32.tinypic.com/357f6ec.jpg
Nav Menu: http://i26.tinypic.com/15f690i.jpg

Great theme, IMO it is the best one yet for SMF, I hope you can get it sorted so we can use it.

Okay just a few question

What do you mean by the menu does not drop down if you mean the menu drop down options then they should not be there

Also what version of IE7 are you using just go Help - about and it will tell you the version number

I do not have XP at home but there is a version at work so will have a look later

But from my testing all seems okay but that is not to say there is a quirk

Will get back as soon as I can

OK, so they are showing up on my desktop and they shouldn't be showing at all.

Okay fixed the first one (The dropdown Menus)

The other seems to be IE Quirks mode which is strange as the code is valid according to W3C

So still looking

Hi All

Okay think I have this fixed

UPDATE:  This update incorporates all previous Updates and Patches

There was an issue with drop down menus being displayed in IE7 under XP and the layout went all over the place in IE7 under XP again this was due to IE Quirks Mode which is the default for XP which meant that the IE code was changed to make it compatible ish with HTML standards which it is apparently not

So a few changes have been made to Index.Template.php and the style sheets to rectify this issue

The code will also re validate which has meant that the fix has taken longer than expected - but these thing are sent to try us

So from now on you can add IE7 under XP to the compatibility list  :D

Enjoy Shortie

P.S. if you just want to upload just the changed files then download the zipfile and upload all four files to your server - please backup your files first

How can I make the theme even smaller than 960px? I changed the mainframe to 860px but that only makes the inner area smaller. I can't figure out how to make the entire outer frame smaller. Pardon the noobish explanation.

Great theme by the way. The members like it a lot to. I appreciate your time.

let me know what size you want and I will do it will call it X-Small :D :D

also need to do the hack so if the admin removes the right for users to change the size it removes the menu so will do both at the same time

UPDATE:  Perfect_Pixel_v1e This update incorporates all previous Updates and Patches

Sorry all yet another update this one corrects the issue where if an Admin selects the option not to allow member to change the Theme Variant the size menu was still displayed - with this update if the option is selected then the menu will disappear :D

For those of you who would prefer to just indertake the edits instead of uploading a new version then the following edits will be required - NOTE that if existing members have selected the theme size then it will still be enforced even if the option is unselected to over come this you will need to reinstall the theme - so on to the manual edit

Open

Index.Template.php

Find

echo ' <div style="position:absolute">';
template_sizemenu();
echo '</div>';

and replace with

if (empty($settings['disable_user_variant']))
{
echo ' <div style="position:absolute">';
template_sizemenu();
echo '</div>';
}

Apologies for the delay but took me a little time to fix the syntax

What do you mean by fixed

If you mean the same background for all three size then the theme will only look good for the size you chose which is no different from setting the variant in the admin area and stopping members from changing it

So after all I managed to fix the logo issue on the theme Pixel Perfected (for SMF 2.0 RC2)

on \Themes\Pixel-Perfected\index.template.php

find

<div id="logo">';

if (empty($settings['header_logo_url']))

echo $context['forum_name_html_safe'];

else

echo ' <a href="'.$scripturl.'" title=""><img  src="', $settings['header_logo_url'], '" alt="', $context['forum_name_html_safe'], '" /></a>

echo ' </div>'; // logo

replace with

<div style="text-align: center;">

if (empty($settings['header_logo_url']))
echo '';
else
echo '
<img src="', $settings['header_logo_url'], '" alt="', $context['forum_name'], '" />';

echo '

now it works well on Opera, Firefox and IE :D

Hi,

First of all, wonderful theme, it became our forum's default! perfectly the colors we had in mind, just a little bit of gold lines would have looked like it was meant for us, but anyway, it's alredy perfect, thnaks a lot.

But, yes, I have a but... We use a simpleportal, and then we have twice the avatar and news, and search and all that stuff within pixels of interval.

So I come here to ask if it's possible to remove the user area in the theme, I attach a picture to be more specific, and since we have a shoutbox, with the user area and the shoutbox not collapsed, we don't even see the forum's portal when we come in. We have to scroll down to begin seeing stuff...

I already thank you for making this wonderful theme, and then ask for your help to make it completely perfect with our forum.

Thanks in advance.

Easy one

In the themes index.template.php

Find and delete the following make sure you have a back up first though

echo '
<div class="headerpadding ">
<form class="floatright" id="search_form" action="', $scripturl, '?action=search2" method="post" accept-charset="', $context['character_set'], '">
<a href="', $scripturl, '?action=search;advanced" title="', $txt['search_advanced'], '"><img id="advsearch" src="'.$settings['images_url'].'/filter.gif" align="middle" alt="', $txt['search_advanced'], '" /></a>
<input type="text" name="search" value="" style="width: 190px;" />&nbsp;
<input type="submit" name="submit" value="', $txt['search'], '" style="width: 11ex;" />
<input type="hidden" name="advanced" value="0" />';

// Search within current topic?
if (!empty($context['current_topic']))
echo '
<input type="hidden" name="topic" value="', $context['current_topic'], '" />';
// If we're on a certain board, limit it to this board ;).
elseif (!empty($context['current_board']))
echo '
<input type="hidden" name="brd[', $context['current_board'], ']" value="', $context['current_board'], '" />';
echo '
</form>';
// Show a random news item? (or you could pick one from news_lines...)
if (!empty($settings['enable_news']))
echo '
<div id="random_news"><h3>', $txt['news'], ':</h3><p>', $context['random_news_line'], '</p></div>';
else
echo '
<div id="random_news"><h3><p></p></h3></div>';
echo '
</div>';

// show the menu
// template_the_menu (); uncomment to return normal menu

echo' <table  width="100%">
<tr>
<td width="10%">';
if ($context['user']['is_logged'])
{

if (!empty($context['user']['avatar']))
echo '
<div id="userareaavatar">', $context['user']['avatar']['image'], '</div>';

}
echo' </td>
<td width="50%">';
template_userarea();
echo' </td>
<td width="40%">';
template_forum_stats ();
echo' </td>
</tr>
</table>';

Geez....

I hadn't browse all the forum and thought it was perfect, but, again with the but... some mebers made me notice some template issues that the forum hadn't with the previous theme.

Sorry to bother you, but maybe I'm not the only one and it could help others as well.

So here are they:

-1° - There's no more separation between posts, they all look like if they were part of only one post, don't know if it's supposed to be like that, but it's kind of disturbing when people follow a topic and can't know exactly who said what.
(https://www.simplemachines.org/community/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimages.imagehotel.net%2Fxxxn2b6spf_tn.png&hash=00a936adf0a52a2e41a3459575f9e478674326b0) (http://images.imagehotel.net/?xxxn2b6spf.png)

-2° - The 'New Topic' button is messed up, the reply button was too, but I managed to get it right by removing the 'active' value assigned to it, but I can't get 'new topic' right...
(https://www.simplemachines.org/community/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimages.imagehotel.net%2Fm3ile8v3wl_tn.png&hash=9c7f225a476198b45c78ca8985277398652a3ef9) (http://images.imagehotel.net/?m3ile8v3wl.png)

-3° - And for this one, I really don't know what happened, but it's all really messed up, it's in a page with a flash BBCode including a flash .swf game in the page, don't know if it's the reason, but this one is out of control!
(https://www.simplemachines.org/community/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimages.imagehotel.net%2Fv42w0cjla9_tn.png&hash=7db655bf16e89e355f35be71d2ee02bf52182fa5) (http://images.imagehotel.net/?v42w0cjla9.png)

-4° - This last one concerns an issue with Ad Manager Mod I guess, when it's not active, the post looks like it should, but when it's active, the bottom of topic page gets all messed up when there's not or just one response in topic, after a second reply it looks fine:
(https://www.simplemachines.org/community/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimages.imagehotel.net%2F3s4k8hm5v3_tn.png&hash=1c441bf549424baeafd088355b698d4b590058d6) (http://images.imagehotel.net/?3s4k8hm5v3.png)
And just to know, the last ad is supposed to look like a post in the topic, but it doesn't have the same backround as the posts like it does in other themes:
(https://www.simplemachines.org/community/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimages.imagehotel.net%2Fybsldn90en_tn.png&hash=dfb90b6a4cc2b954c40966a60a1c7fecf0ca3b6b) (http://images.imagehotel.net/?ybsldn90en.png)

But these 2 last ones concerning ads are optional, if it can be fixed, great, if not, nevermind.

For info, i use SMF 2.0 RC3 with SimplePortal 2.3.2, forum's language is portuguese_pt in ISO-8859-1, don't if it's a reason to have these issues but it's all I can tell for what I know.

Thanks Shortie!

I know exactly what your problem is now

You are using Pixel Perfect which is an RC1.2 theme :D :D - my bad as I did not ask the question

the reason for this is the introduction of Curve

But all is not lost

What you need is Pixel Perfected which is an RC3 theme with all the features and is almost 100% the same but in my eyes a little bit cleaner looking

Due the time scales SMF are taking to approve themes it is currently on available from my Site - Just click my sig and it will take you there

Download it and install it and then we can work on the removal of the top bit

Also on my front page there is a link to my Demo Site when you can see it in action

Have fun and if you need any help just post a topic on my site

I realize this thread hasn't been touched since June, but did anyone ever get ahold of the SMF2.0 RC3 version of Pixel Perfect(ed)? The site linked doesn't seem to work anymore and apparently the SMF website is still showing the SMF2.0 RC1.2 version.
