Title: [Theme] Starry Night
Post by: PopLife on April 17, 2005, 12:53:13 AM
Starry Night Theme
This is theme based on the Ragnarok theme by Viking Chief. Other than the obvious colour, width and background changes, I have added an affiliates box next to a new header box (which is really a .gif file. This makes it easier to edit).

Here are some Previews
(https://www.simplemachines.org/community/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.tennis-forums.com%2Fimages%2Fthumbnail.gif&hash=4b3b6bd2834dbb42188fa196b78900abd0a06427)

If you encounter any problems installing the Starry Night theme, please post here or send me a PM. The Affiliates box is editable by opening index.template in your favourite editor, searching the document for "www.wtatour.com" or "www.atptennis.com". Then replace these links with whatever you want.

Why not? It definately fits a science fiction of space forum.

Well, there are so many great themes on this site. I don't think this can be compared to some.

This is a great theme...  Would be great if it was adjusted to work with the MKPortal without making the screen scroll to the side.   :D

Open up index.template.php
Find all "825" values and change them to an appropriate size. I think that by changing the values simply to "100%", the page will automatically fit the forums.

Tried making the changes but no go...   :(    I just barely started with this board and the portal system so I may be missing something..  Still think the theme is excellent.

I'd just looked at the index.template.php and what you have to find is is all the "800" and not "825"

:P

:(  You know, I'm beginning to think it's me somehow since with both portal sides open it makes the screen scroll to the side for me at your site too...  I'd like to have the modified files anyway though..  This is too nice a skin not to try to make work.

The theme was not intended for use on my site, or any sites with portals for that matter. I will change the index.template.php file so that it will appear inside the portal properly and attach it to my first post also.

Right click the header, click "save image as" it should come up with Logo_banner.gif. Save the file, then edit it to your liking. Now all you have to do is overwrite the old header. I could help making one if you needed help

I'm using it at my forum, I'd love it in white thoguh to blend in with my site design.

I changed the logo at the top to fit my site though if you don't mind?

But I've been looking for something like this and well done

You have the old version installed. Please go back to the first post and download the theme again. If you don't, guests will see the register and login buttons as the default buttons.

That can be done easily with a .gif file. Unfortunately, I don't have Animation Shop Pro on my laptop. I 'll go check if there is an already made image on the net

Very sultry and defined, but can you edit the header with a lighter color font and would you allow a custom title along with keeping your credits to the skin? ;)

very sexy theme you have there, congrats
one question though...are there any colours within the board or is it all black and dark with white spelling?

love the background...i might just use this and mod it a bit if you don't mind

Yeah, the theme is completely dark throughout, although, the stars can be seen on virtually every page. Of course you can edit if you like ;)
