Title: Quick Question
Post by: cvlowe on September 30, 2009, 01:04:18 PM
I am using a free forum on smfforfree3.com, I hope this is the right place to get help.

I have several boards each with several child boards, and a couple with grand-child boards. They all have the option "Collapsible: Allow users to collapse this category" selected. Yet I can not find out how to collapse any of the boards.

Thanks in advance for any assistance!

If you go to your index page, look for a little [-] which is in a box just to th left of a category name, look at the image I've atatched and the arrow points to what you should be looking for ;)

Thanks for the quick reply.

There is no [-] on any of the boards, and I have verified they have the option checked to be "collapsible". I attached a small example. Is there a global option of some kind that needs to be set? I have looked but can't find one.

The image might be 404. But since you're using SMFForFree, your best bet would be to ask in their support forums, not ours since here, support is provided for the full-size package, not freely hosted ones.

It may simply be that the theme you're using doesn't provide support for collapsing the categoryes, but as Gazmanafc says, the SMF For Free support forum is the place to ask - we don't maintain them, we just provided the software they use.
