Title: database error when trying to install some packages
Post by: sattninja on December 24, 2009, 03:43:38 PM
Table 'appfuzio_smf1.messages' doesn't exist
File: /home/appfuzio/public_html/Packages/temp/install_2.php
Line: 12

If {db_prefix}messages doesn't exist, then you shouldn't be able to view any posts on your forum, can you? A test account for your forum (http://www.appfuzion.com/) will help. If posts are fine, then you should post a link to the mod as mod authors are expected to use the prefix defined in Settings.php

Table 'dreadful_smf1.smf_log_link_checker_status' doesn't exist
File: /home/dreadful/public_html/Sources/AutoLinkChecker-x2.php
Line: 82

this stinks would be a kewl package to have

It seems the database changes aren't been made, you might have run them manually using phpMyAdmin
See: What is phpMyAdmin? (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=21919.0)
FYI: I just tried to install the package attached to my post, and the installation was smooth.

I made some changes to the mod, uninstall and delete the current package and try the attached. If you still have issues, I've also attached a structure for the missing table.

You'd have to ask in the mod's support topic regarding that, I noticed the mod is broken though. I'll point out the problem with installation to the author but you'd have to make a post there about your problem. How about the other mod, do you still have problems installing that one?

I haven't looked at the mod critically but maybe it requires you to be on the default theme. Did you get any errors when installing and is your version in the compatibility line?
